    It would still be heading for the terminal at Dyce??? If that picture was taken at DYce?

    It is, I mislead you a bit there saying it was heading for Spain, and the runway ID Boards you see are for one of the short Heli runways.
    That huge Telecom/TV mast thingy can be seen from all over Aberdeen and beyond.

    I got mine for 3 quid frm the Transport Museum 😀 think they still have it

    I think I’ll have a look, if they have I’ll buy it and let my mate keep the old one!

    They had two copies in Paisley Central Library last time I looked. It could really do with a reprint or updated reprint?

    I’ve got my own copy 😀 but a friend has a loan of it! 🙂

    An excellent book by an excellent local aviation historian and artist. I’d love to make the movie of that book.

    Agreed, it’s a great read, unfortunately it’s out on loan just now and it’s murder trying to get it back! 😡

    On the top right of the picture is that a Runway? Looks like it’s roughly running 23/05.

    In my eyes – one of the greats still flying today. Right up there with the tristar!

    Nice shots all!

    For those that are interested – Gemini jets are to hopefully soon be releasing a 1/250th scale BA VC-10 and next year Corgi are releasing 2 showcase models – one RAF blue/white/red livery and one in BOAC livery.
