It is, I mislead you a bit there saying it was heading for Spain, and the runway ID Boards you see are for one of the short Heli runways.
That huge Telecom/TV mast thingy can be seen from all over Aberdeen and beyond.

I got mine for 3 quid frm the Transport Museum 😀 think they still have it

An excellent book by an excellent local aviation historian and artist. I’d love to make the movie of that book.
Agreed, it’s a great read, unfortunately it’s out on loan just now and it’s murder trying to get it back! 😡
