Arriving back into Glasgow International on US Airways 767-200 ‘N645US’ Flight Number ‘US564’
The inbound routing took us just to the south of Dunoon then a left turn over Gourock to overhead Balloch then a right turn onto the r/w 23 approach at GLA.

Re the ‘5 star’ business, there’s only been 2 folk viewed this thread and it’s already got 5 stars and it wasn’t me!

What was the occasion Ren with the Reds there?

The Faslane (the nuclear sub base) Fair just up the coast, mind you the display was held just off of Helensburgh over the Firth of Clyde.

    It’s me then…… 😀

No, wait – it’s the Viscount that’s at Scone, isn’t it? The Air Inter one?

Not any more, neither is the Trident.

Nope, the plane pictured has the stabilizer on top of the tail. The C160 has the stabilizer on the rear fuselage just under the tail.

Ok, it’s an ATR 42 heading for CWL. 😉

Twin prop, high wing: would have to be an ATR 42 or a D328. Add to that the straight wing edges and that makes it an ATR-42, since the D328 wings end like the 773ER with raked wingtips.

    Not a Transall then?

Err at a guess Id suggest that its an aeroplane and its going into the sky ???.

    Sorry for the sarkasm…….

Would I be right in assumining that it is a Scotish Island ?

    G.

Yes, Isle of Arran, the highest point there is 3000ft, a bit higher than a Dale :p

Number 5 is a Boeing E-3 Sentry, most probably USAF if it’s heading north west?

Ok, what’s this and where’s it going? 🙂

That was going to be my next guess. 🙂

Nice to see a picture of one of our planes on the forums. 😀

It’s probably from a Easyjet 737 (note the orange thingies sticking from underneath the wing). Don’t know where it is, but the stadium should be a death giveaway for someone interested in football.

Nope, it’s not an EZY 737 :diablo: and there is a clue outwith the stadium.
