Great representative selection there. When I get a mouse that works properly I’ll finish editing my An22 pics from PIK during the week.
Thanks Allen, you can’t beat PIK for variety! 😀
Indeed, Fantastic shots! I love that one looking on into the maintainence hangar!
Yes, very nice pics, I particularly enjoy ‘from the cockpit’ shots 🙂
It’s better than their old one IMHO.
Kaplan Dig, great pictures. Did you happen to see their EMB-170’s at PHL?
I did but I wasn’t in a position to get a pic of it 😡
Kansas City? Now you must have had some steak or BBQ while you were in town right?
Sure did! 😀
Word is the American F100’s will be gone soon so it’ll be a nice memento to have that picture in your collection. Where did you see the Goodyear blimp? One of their few bases is down the street from me.
Kansas City Downtown Airport.
Who did you fly with
Flyglobespan guys, TF-ELC if I remember correctly.
aka your ride?
Yep. 😎
Lovely photos. Love the close up of the AA 767!
“American 52” to Glasgow 😀
More great photos Kaplan.
Thanks 😮
Our twice-weekly “Connie 207” goes to Amsterdam and therefore doesn’t use too much of the runway, but today’s extra flight went to Newark, New Jersey. “Connie 239” seemed to be pushing his luck with the runway length just a bit, presumably due to the heavier than normal fuel load!!! 😮 He was rather close as he passed over my head!!! 😎
Very nice indeed 🙂
More shots than I got on my Fly Globespan trip to TFS in February.
Why’s that then? 😮
That storm you mentioned in the other thread must have come from nowwhere!….
It was to the north east of Philadelphia right in the path of our a/c’s intended track.
It was eerie looking down seeing the clouds lighting up and seeing a/c flying just above the tops being illuminated from underneath with the lightning 😮
Nice pictures of from your trip. How was your experience in PHL? Did you have a nice long and painful taxi experience? Nearly every pilot would agree that the PHL ATC experience is exhausting.
No problems on arrival, taxied out for departure then we shut down for 40 minutes on a taxyway due a storm cell on our departure routing, after we did depart it was pretty spectacular all the way up the east coast! 😮
To be honest normal service has been resumed, the weather yesterday was one of a few sunny days there’s been all summer.
Those nose on shots were taken through a crash gate on the north perimeter facing the runway 05 holding threshold. One of the best spots especially in the evening when the sun is behind you.
Very good shots indeed! 🙂
Superb shots, what were the celebrations for over there?
Canadian Snowbirds at Andrews Air Force Base at Camp Springs 😀
