Superb photos – the backdrops you get at both GLA and EDI really make the photos.

brilliant! That fire in the 3rd pic from below, is that the fire crew practising or something more serious?

It was a very serious fire in Edinburgh city, an Electrical company I believe. After departure from r/w 06 at EDI a/c make a slight left turn to avoid the posh folk 🙂 in Barnton but were unable to that night due the smoke, lots of phone calls to ATC that night with noise complaints! :p

    All,

Although Airbus have had a Trent 900 on test on one of the A340 prototypes for some time, three weeks ago the first Trent 900 that will actually be hung on the prototype A380 left Nottingham East Midlands Airport for Toulouse. The first engine had the privilege of being carried on Antonov Design Bureau’s magnificent AN-22, whilst about a week ago another engine left for southern France on a Volga Dnepr AN-124. Tonight, another delivery from EMA to TLS, using VDA AN124 RA-82042. This means that the A380 is now getting near to having its full compliment of engines… Only five months or so to go to the first flight!!! 😀

Just thought I’d share a photo – VDA4042 leaves EGNX for LFBO this evening – thank God it did actually take off!!!

    Excellent shot!

Years ago Cumbernauld Airport (EGPG) Near Glasgow used to have an Aviation Enthusiasts shop but for some reason it closed down i’m not sure if because it’s a small private airfield and not a lot of people used it but maybe some of the guys here in the forum from Glasgow know why it closed down

Break in’s and vandalism I’m afraid, I bought my first scanner there and the guy was very helpful indeed, Stuart Sim I think his name was.
They used to sell Jeppesen/Aerad charts, headphone hire etc and was quite popular, shame.

What is that in the Red Arrows Photo about 1/4 of the way down the right side of the photo directly underneath the last aircraft to the right?

It’s a seagull about to get the fright of its life! 😮

I tried to save the photo to file to enhance it but it keeps coming back saying it’s not a known file format

    It’s a JPEG?

Nicely…. Especially like the Jungle Jet with the bird sitting on the tail, and the Duo CRJ – Duo, one of the best airlines ever, and a very sad day when they failed (flew on G-DUOE several times)!

    Andy

“Mr & Mrs Crow” sure get around at EDI, they are in the Tu154 pic and I think I have another few with “them” in it 😀

Possibly Omega Air refuelling tanker which is contracted to refuel US air force aircraft routing back to US from Gulf region ?

It’s been at Prestwick several times lately too. Or alternatively a US Air Force KC-135 ?

    Or the Israeli one?

I thought that FR has got rid of all his 732′. It seems that some are left.
I like those DHL pix. Thanks

Nice sharp pics indeed, very nice.
Here’s a pic of some of the stored RYR 737-200’s, these 5 are stored at PIK a few weeks ago, there are now 6.
