Looks like a couple of great places, love the photo of the Southwest 737!

A bit of heat haze ruined it and as the other end of the runway can’t be seen you have to jump sharpish out of your car if you want to catch a pic! 🙂

Another airfield where photographers were welcome was Norfolk International in Virginia, basic car parking facilities this time but welcome nonetheless and no hassles.
    Here’s a Southwest 737 with winglets departing in a rather fetching c/s! 😀

And here’s the view from the terrace, all the better for photography since the telegraph poles and wires have been removed from between the terrace and the fence.

Did that all white 747 tail strike before take-off ,because it looks like there’s some white smoke behind it?

That’s what I thought at first but no it’s just some spray from the inner starboard engine blast.

Very nice shots, another GLA photographer! What camera are you using there?

It’s a Fuji S5000 but I’ve had to downsize them to under 100k to upload them so not as sharp as they could be 🙁

Thanks 🙂 It was operating for Travel City Direct I think direct to Orlando, it’s Icelandic registered.
