I was up at the farm originally thats where i took the pictures ,Parked in front of the closed gate and have never been bothered there,
Just after I arrived there there was a car that parked in the farms carpark so i guess they might have been a bit cheesed off at that
    Regards Kevin

I find it’s best to park the car near the Flying Club building and walk down to the Crash Gate at the farm, it only takes 3 or 4 minutes.

Great Pictures there Kaplan – especially the last shot – looks like a high angle of attack! 🙂

About 45 degrees and he’s not passed the end of the runway yet!

Now this is where I need your help. I have photos of these 2 airports, and am trying to work out which they are.

Obviously this first one is more important, as it’s one of the aircraft ‘graveyards’ and so I was quite lucky to catch it. It was around 30-40 minutes after departure from LAX, a short while after passing the first batch of mountains. (1st photo).

Photos 2 and 3 are of the same airport, taken on finals for ORD. The runway directions are 11 and 29, so I guess that makes it easier.

Nice pics, the first pic is Victorville in California –

Just a few pics of the highlights of today. Yemenia A330, Aeroflot IL96 (new colours) Air India Express 737-800, and finally our very own wysiwyg landing his brand brand new A346 from Shanghai. Not a good pic of the 346 sadly, especially for the purpose desired, but I blame Ian entirely, he was late and missed the sunshine :p

    I like the Aeroflot.

Nice pics – looks like they need to go out and pull up the weeds on one of those taxiways!!!

    Andy

Agreed, although that area is little used by a/c, it’s where Taxyway ‘Z’ (where the F50 is parked) meets the r/w 10 threshold.

Think there is a bit of confusion here. The RDF is administered by the Scottish Executive, and the BAA are giving NO concessions, they’re still taking their full whack. Therefore the Scottish taxpayers are subsidising these new routes, and the BAA are just counting their money.

Did someone mention a level playing field? Explain why landing charges are so much LESS at Stansted than Edinburgh or Glasgow? And there’s no fund there.

All we need now is someone to reveal exactly what the charges are at each particular airport, anyone?
