Maybe you should try reading the article yourself, then you’d realise it is the border agency that refused his application, not the MoD. You’d also see he admitted guilt, and then upon realising there were consequences decided he wanted to change his mind. As I said, the guy seems to want us to give him exceptions to all the rules.

Oh, and he left the services because the accomodation wasn’t good enough.

Let me try to explain; I’ll do my best, but some words will need more than one syllable. He was told that, in a fight, he’d broken a man’s jaw (note, no mention of a knife,) so, when accused, he admitted the charge. As it turns out, it was a lie, and nobody’s jaw was broken; witnesses, who said that he acted in self-defence, were ignored. The MOD know this, and have it in their power to reverse the original decision, and expunge the record, but they choose not to do so; this is why I stand by my original statement that the MOD have no interest in the men and women, who serve this country.

What about the issue at hand? Not care to discuss that instead of having a go at forum members?

Can’t add anything to post 36; as he’s an inhabitant of the U.S., I’d say he has more knowledge of the situation there than any of us.
Also, if you check back, you’ll see that it wasn’t me who started addressing remarks directly at others.

How can he exhibit normal human behaviour? He’s just killed 12 people in cold blood (allegedly).
    Anyway, who made you moderator?

Pick your toys up, and put them back in the pram.

If any of you can stop fighting among yourselves, for a few minutes, I suggest that you take the opportunity to watch the accused’s behaviour, in court, today; if that is normal human behaviour, I’ve never seen it before. The man appears to be completely out of it, and heading for (or coming from)a different planet.

Isn’t this the guy that people asked for a petition to be signed for, and in the petition they waved the race card around and similar crap? Also I believe the reason for the denial of citizenship was as he had a military conviction for fighting, supposedly involving a knife?

Based on use of the race card I won’t be signing.

I suggest you try reading the article, before condemning the man; it seems he was falsely accused, and convicted out of hand. No surprise really, though; when did the MOD ever show the slightest concern for the men and women who fight for this country?

Funny (well, no it’s rather sad, and sickening) to see how a thread about a verdict, in a court case, has turned into a series of the usual suspects, lining up to stab every police officer in the back, and turn the knife, as well.
Next time you’re in a queue of traffic, bitching about the delay stopping you from getting home for your tea, and pass a traffic pile-up, rubbernecking as you go, just give a thought (what a waste of time that idea is) to whose job it is to clean the blood and broken cars off the road, and then (if you can) think of the poor sod, whose job it will be to go to somebody’s home, and tell them that a loved one has been killed.
When another nutter goes berserk with a gun, or samurai sword, will we see you waiting in line to go out, and help take him off the streets? No, of course not; it’s so much easier to carp, from the comfort of a nice chair, in front of a computer screen.

“Grass roots level.” That’s dirt, sunshine.
“Ongoing.” Does nothing continue, any more?
“Targeted” Is nothing “Aimed at” any more? In fact a target is a shield, and the literal meaning is (or was) really “shielded,” which says much for the modern level of education.
