And how much of that came from the nation’s tax coffers, and how much from the sponsors? And how many residents, in this country, will be able to use, and visit functions at, the facilities which will remain after the Games are a distant memory? Or are these questions that the less cynical of us are not allowed to ask?

It’s because bricks are too expensive, in America, while wood is plentiful, and cheap. When I visited the U.S., in 1985, the family, that I stayed with, told me that, back then, bricks cost a dollar each, so Lord knows what they cost today.

Yes, those smiles can be infectious, and we can’t have that, can we?

It seems that nobody is looking at it, from the opposite point of view; with today’s moronic element, in society, ever wanting to prove how brave they are, by taking a pop at servicemen, maybe the owners were forestalling any trouble before it happened.

Support the government, and it’s a “change of mind”; support the opposition, and it’s a “U-turn,” and politicians wonder why they’re viewed with such contempt. Scoring points, in front of their accolytes, is more important than caring about the welfare of the voters.

Also, what are the differences between a MK1 and MKII panel?

The Mark I had a flap position indicator to the right, and slightly above, the flap control lever, which the II didn’t have; it also had two fuel contents gauges, bottom right, while the II had only one. The II also had a pull-up dimming screen behind the gunsight mount, which doesn’t appear in the Mk.I.
