She’s always too busy in her fortresses, mind you she has got a Sandringham, Prince Philip has a Lizzie and William has recently got himself a ‘Kate’ to have a go in.
I don’t think there’s a smilie in existence to properly convey my reaction to this!!!!! Love it!:D
Thanks for the clarification/update, Firebex. I look forward to seeing the photos when they may be posted 🙂
Hopefully the Avro Anson here is coming close, it’s on the civil register now. I don’t know of any other restorations here that are close (ie this quarter).
Over the years I’ve learned to take Ronnie’s threads as an opportunity to marvel at his astounding skills with computer drawing programmes…and less of a news source 😉 Stunning work, Ronnie, that Ki.44 had me fooled. Awesome detail.

Hi all,
I’ve joined the group on Facebook (not the group proper) to keep an eye on what could be a very interesting project, and member Ian Porter revealed that the remains of NF.36 RL249 have been secured, with another airframe in the pipeline.
Congratulations to them, and I look forward to seeing what comes next for them.

What did the staff at Point Cook say when you contacted them, Phil?
She truly is a thing of beauty. Thank you very much for sharing these wonderful photos, they are especially appreciated by overseas folks like me with very little chance of seeing her in the metal any time soon.
Saved for screensavers 🙂
Ca-11 Woomera for sure, something about it just speaks to me. A fine-looking aircraft.
CA-18, I believe 😉
Superb! Some great news to kickstart my weekend. Well done team, what a thrill for the Boddingtons to have her flying at home again.
Has anyone taken pictures/are pictures allowed to be posted? Or are we required to wait until July?
This is outstanding news! I have long wondered what was happening with ‘959. Excellent! it will be most interesting to see how much of the original wood can be reused in comparison with KA114.
Will it be at Wanaka?
That is disappointing for the Canadian warbird movement, but there must have been no-one willing to make the commitment.
Hopefully, if one can say “hopefully” about the dissolution of a great collection, the Hurricane finds a Canadian home and the Bf-109 returns to Germany.
A quick in-progress photo taken March 27, 2011.
