Did any other pilots in the RAF or any other Air Force fly with missing limbs or bits , or was it just Douglas Bader , I know there was one 1st world war pilot with only one eye .
Only thing I could come up with was the Boeing model 80 😮
I think the main Item of contention is the fact that that he owns a property , worth some money , and this puts him outside of a lot of Benefits , If he was penniless , then I feel that the finances of his care would be looked after by the State ,

I don’t think the radioactivity was a problem Because in 1945 it wasn’t understood by the Military , It never stopped them from occupying Nagasaki and Hiroshima , or the troops involved in the Later Pacific Nuclear tests !
[The Scientists new how dangerous Radioactivity was but the dangers were never fully explained to the Military man in the street ..so to speak , but that’s another Topic ]
There seems to be a similar mark about .5 meter’s to the right of the original one. would the ground crew be expected to use the foot traps to do their thing ? it certainly looks like a ladder rest mark.
Is it a one off homebuild ?
If they had one ready in 1944/5 then the simple answer would be the same reason that they didn’t drop one on TOKYO ,
Ok, here’s the idea. The first one to ID each aircraft (confirmed by whoever posted the picture) gets the right to post the next one, and so on. Only manned aircraft that have actually flown since 1939, so no missiles/drones and no obscure unbuilt projects or flights of fancy. Anyone up for it? Incidentally, this was originally an idea by Joglo on another forum. I’ll kick off with this one-
