It was always going to happen, it was just a matter of time. ๐

Its at Kemble, and will be used for spares. I heard that also a company had bought the the front half and will be using it for a flight sim.

Monarch can actually provide some very competitive fares, just depends when you look, especially since they did away with the drinks/food in the price.
I have never happened to find any. GB Airways are also cheaper from MAN and you are getting a full-service.

Some low cost scheduled airlines have been flying to Tenerife for years and years from Luton and offer a daily service from LTN, BHX and MAN this winter! ๐
I wouldn’t exactly call them “low cost”! ๐

Its like that on my chart too, and I have the most updated one (Jan 2005).
You must have heard it wrong, or the controller must have got mixed up (very unlikely).

They are excellent shots there mate, loving the Ryanair B738! ๐
Too many close-ups for my liking, though.
Better than shots taken with the fence in the way!

Agreed Flex, I was going to delete mine, but then I saw the reply from Dan, thought it was more worthwhile keeping the thread with comments on the subject, hope thats ok?
Fine by me! ๐

I guess there is no point of having two threads on the subject.
But back on topic, nice to see FlyGlobespan expanding.

I think the fact that BLK – GRO is possible with a Ryanair 738 on a runway of just over 6000 feet, proves my argument that LBA – GRO would be possible with a runway length of over 7000 ;).
It not just to do with the runway length, LBA is good few miles up from BLK, Ryanair’s de-rated engines, and honastly why would they start any extra services out of LBA anyway?

Nice report. ๐
Another thing that impressed me onboard the aircraft was the PTV’s ( I think thats what there called) that tell you the altitude, speed and outside temperature.
GB Airways don’t have PTV’s fitted on there A320s, PTV’s are mounted in the seat in-front of you. GB Airways just have nice looking drop-down LCD screens instead.
I love this feature on BA/GB too, I rather have that any day then pointless Friends and Will and Grace repeats.

Some good ones there. You have even shot an aircraft that I flew on just less than a year ago from AMS to LPL, squeezyJet B733 G-IGOW.

Hope to see their MD82 for the 1st time when I go in a couple of weeks :).
They are quite a sight to watch take-off, as the they use the whole of the runway. I have seen many go onto the 06L markings on takeoff! ๐ฎ ๐

Thanks MyTravel UK. ๐

If they are flying a program that needs more than 1 aircraft to do than that’s bad planning from them.
Does anyone know which holiday company they are operating for, the charter timetable section of the MAN website doesn’t list there flights. I’m guessing maybe Libra?

One thing I particularly hate is the excruciating wait for baggage to be offloaded and delivered at Sรคve “airport” as the aircraft turns straight round – it has to be loaded and depart before the handler(s) (perhaps there is only one) deal with incoming luggage – never less than a 45 minute wait for your bags – it would be better for them to leave the trolleys on the tarmac and let us get our own bags!
Incidentally on my most recent flight a week ago the guy in front of me reclined his seat fully as soon as he sat down (before takeoff) and only raised it when told by the cabin crew, then reclined it again as soon as possible – for a 1h 40 min flight he was thus sitting in my lap – horrible, and unnecessary in my opinion for such a short flight!
None of this is Ryanair’s fault.
I don’t know why people expect so much out of Ryanair, at the end of the day your ticket is very cheap, so obviously you not can’t expect BA type service.
