With charters, you have to pay a huge supplement on top of an already very expensive flight/holiday.

I wouldn’t really called £10 per person return for a in-flight meal really a huge supplement.

Some UK Charter carriers also provide meals free for all passengers regardless of the cost of their holiday (MyTravel are one of them).

Well we were on a -700 and i think that ranges from 1 – 40 degrees, in 6 or 7 stages and i swear i only seen them move 3 or 4 times, it was dark though.

They could have set them in stages. You would have landed with either 30/40 degrees of flap as standard. I can’t see why they would have used any lower then that.

737-200s are great, not so sure I would like flying one all the way to Italy though!

Maybe EALs are better than Ryanairs, (Not that bad by the way).

From MAN they send them to many Greek Islands! 😮

EAL’s B732s are supposed to be in excellent condition from the inside, and they are also supposed to be an excellent airline. Hot towels, sweets on boarding/landing and very good food. I think they also have proper metal cutlery.

So your a quite lucky bloke BY767! 😀

Nope they don’t. Enjoy your flights, you will be flying on a 32 year old B732! 😉

Having no inflight entertainment these days is very very poor, AEU are a disgrace for not fitting IFE on their brand newish 737-700s 😡

I wouldn’t say they were a “disgrace” for not fitting IFE. The B737-700s that they have weren’t orginally fitted with IFE, so for them to retro-fit the 700s with IFE it wouldn’t be cost effective.

I flew on Air Malta as well to Paphos in March, no IFE and no in-flight mag either so I wasn’t very impressed to say the least!

Thank god Thomas Cook have it. 😀

MAN-TFS on Britannia (1990), I was only about one or thereabouts. Probably was a B757 but I really cannot remember. I always remember that they gave out a newspaper type thing for kids that had a picture of the B757 flightdeck on the front cover.

Error on the tour operators behalf most likely. I assume your flight numbers are 864/5? Manchester doesn’t have any Eurocypria flights on a Saturday you are right.

It will be an A319 just to confirm for you. So that is another positive at least. 🙂

    Enjoy your flights.

It is a charter flight for the Man Utd Far East Tour, they will be returning on the 31st but that will be a B744.

You will get the full service going out (free drinks and sandwich), and the (new concept) pay bar/sandwich/snack service coming back.

A good opportunity to experience both! 🙂

bmi will be nothing more than easyJet and Ryanair now I’m afraid, a great shame.

Expect bmi-baby type service but you will fly on much newer aircraft. The cabin crew wear a nice uniform (unlike bmibaby) and don’t expect to be delayed (like bmibaby as well ;)).

I think if he charged reasonable prices and served destinations which are seldom covered from LPL he could be successful. But I will believe it when I see that B738 on LPL’s ramp! 😉

Would be very interesting if that comes off, can’t see it coming though. Just some very hopeful people! 😉
