Doesn’t suprise me. EZY charge more then FR on those routes so they couldn’t have expected to be successful.

He must have some serious cash on his hands to lease an B738! 😀
I don’t know whether this airline will ever take-off though. (Excuse the pun)
Flex 35
When we booked the morning flight was operated by air wales and the flights we are booked on is flown by bmibaby.
Well if you knew that then surely you would know if it was going to be a ATR 42!?
Flex 35
Have a good trip, and enjoy the fantastic A330! And remember to take a lot of pics of the cabin! 😀
Flex 35
An Air Wales ATR-42-300 most probably. 6G operate it for baby along with ORK, PIK, CDG, and some BFS flights.
How come its down as a B733 on the schedules? 😉
Flex 35
FR seem to want to snatch the competition from quite a few EZY bases. NCL, BRS and LPL! 😀
Flex 35
Nice shots. Aegean operate a charter flight to Heraklion every Sunday in the summer, so not that unusual.
Flex 35
Great shots mate! Always nice to see one of Air Berlin’s B737-400s @ MAN, makes a change from the 700s & 800s! 😀
Flex 35
Doesn’t suprise me one little bit. Flying internally within Africa (except with airlines based in South Africa, Kenya Airways and North Africa) is extremely dodgy. Antonov’s etc. go down in Africa at least 6-7 times a year.
Flex 35
Not suprised about Monarch dropping Manchester-Naples. Suprised about bmi baby dropping EMA-ORK, they have flown that route for a good few years. WW service ORK from nearby BHX so that might be another reason why they are dropping it.
Flex 35
Its hard to say the exact aircraft type for bmibaby flights because it can change on the day, but its scheduled to be a B737-300 both ways.
Flex 35
The people are mostly looking at something off to the left of the picture. Even the people to the left of the picture, like the guy on the bike, are looking away from the aircraft.
If an A320 was that low over your head, surely even non-enthusiasts would be looking up, if not diving for cover.
Don’t forget these approaches are the norm in Ilheus. The local people will be quite used to seeing them, and they are probably not really bothered/interested in them because its such a regular occurence.

This indeed was a SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) on the IL62. The reverse was deployed before landing to act like an air-brake that you can find on the BAe 146/Fokker 70/100 to give maximum retardation on the flare/landing.
Flex 35
Will be a A320 on both flights. Enjoy.

I read that the EZY 737-700s struggle with NCL-AGP with a full load due to their de-rated engines. And as we know, the 73Gs have the longest range of all 737s.
You are indeed right GKirk. EZY have CFM56-7B20 rated engines on there 700s which is actually the lowest rated option you can go on the 700.
While I was wating for my ORK flight last week @ LPL I witnessed a RYR B738 depart for Limoges (90 min flight), it used a hell of a lot runway! 😀
