    I too love the frills of KLM/BA/LH/AF etc. the list goes on. But most of the time they are too expensive, and more often then not you can fly to much more interesting destinations with Ryanair then you could with BA for example. Santander, Santiago, Alghero, Porto etc. are some nice destinations where I couldn’t get to direct with BA/IB and suchlike.

    Menorca is a very nice place, I would love to go back. Where on the Island did you stay? We stayed in Cala Galdana.

    As regards to the flaps been set during pushback this wouldn’t have occured. The pushback would have been fully completed by this stage (as you can actually see on the photo), parking brake would have been set, and then Flap would then have been selected (looks like Config 3 in this case).

    How did you get the chance to visit the flightdeck? Do you just ask the cabin crew?

    Yes after engine shutdown. They have to ask the guy’s upfront first, but most of the time they will kindly let you in! 😀

    OK, it was a LAMIX 1 W departure. Which means turning left after 0.5 miles, which is more or less straight away. 😉

    That is why it would be low, very low! 😀

    I heard a very loud noise about 20:45, and looked out of my window and saw the Thomsonfly 767 over my house lower than just about anything I have ever seen over my house, we normally get nothing over my house, especially on take off, seemed to take a very strange path after take off.

    LBA doesn’t have the biggest of runways, full pax load going to Dalaman (perhaps full thrust take-off). Do you live over the 32 or 14 end Tom?

    GLA-LPL will be dropped at the end of summer. One less service to compete with…

    Didn’t realise that. Weird that flybe. started GLA-LPL-GLA as 1x daily then moved it to 2x daily and now have dropped the route altogether. Pleased I flew on it while I could then! 😉

    Punctuality for week ending 1st July – 63% on time!
    At Flybe the priority of flying our passengers on time is second only to our responsibilities towards safety. Please see our latest punctuality statistics:

    71% of Flybe flights arrived on time
    92% of flights arrived within 60 minutes of scheduled arrival time

    A flight on time is defined as one arriving within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival time. These statistics are based on all Flybe flights between 27th June and 1st July 2005 inclusive.

    Not good at all considering the amount of flights they operate compared with the likes of easyJet & Ryanair.

    bmi regional’s MAN-GLA-MAN service is rarely full. Intensive competiton from flybe’s twice daily service from Liverpool and British Airways 4/5 daily flights from Manchester.

    I know for a fact they will be cancelled because of low pax. I travelled on BD389 last month and there only was 15 pax!

    No Grey Area they didn’t get my attention I allready knew about Poverty and World Hunger, I just don’t need some Pop Stars telling me to ask the G8 to help out when they allready are doing the best they can do with todays Political World Problems.

    I actually totally agree with you. That Bob Geldof is an annoying git, he is causing more problems by doing this. Don’t even get me started on his stuck up daughters who think there great. :rolleyes:
