Someone on the boards had mentioned at one point that some European operators of the ERJ use 2 F/A’s. I wonder why BA opted for a different internal configuration of their ERJ’s.
BA normally carry 2 F/A’s in the ERJ-145, must have been say 9-10 passengers on the flight so only 1 F/A was needed. There configuration is 1-2 like all commercial ERJ’s.

Weird for BA to use a ERJ-145 on the MAN-ORK-MAN route, it is normally serviced by the RJ-100/BAe 146-200.

Its weird that they have switched to Orly, I suppose its better for passengers then the dump that is CDG.

Same goes for Knock but better terminal and more flights. At Knock you have to drive a long way up a big hill to get to the airport!
My dad has just got back from Knock and he said the same. There is also a development fee @ Knock just like Kerry.

Don’t get me wrong Dublin is a nice place, but there are other nice parts of Ireland where you can visit for just the same price (Galway, Kerry, Waterford, Shannon, Cork, the list goes on).

Dunno, i think the fact that there was a lot of constriction going on, and the weather made the place look dull, and boring, was the factors.
There is still construction going on!! 😮
Visited in July 2003 and there was a lot of consruction work going on.

What did you find bad about Cork? I have visited once before and I thought it was nice to be honest. Better than over-rated Dublin in my opinion.

Thanks. 🙂
And sadly no deck visit, due as we were a bit late yesturday, and that ‘DAO needed to go to Murcia i think the Captain told me :p
So you actually asked the Capt. yourself? Hopefully I’ll be lucky and get one, the flight seems to always depart slightly late from LPL but arrives on-time in ORK.
That WAL 2V departure on 09 is quite fun from Liverpool, so are all the other departures from 09 as they all command a very sharp left hand turn.
Cheers

Excellent shots Elgan. Perticularly interesting for me as will be taking the exact same flights next week. What was the loadfactor on your flights? And also was there a very sharp left hand turn on departure from Liverpool?
After a week of listening to FR9895/6 on my scanner they have always gone above FL300 on cruise for some reason! FL370 is extremely high for a 40 min flight.
I guess you didn’t get flightdeck visits on your flights. 🙁
Thanks for posting. 🙂

Yes it does indeed look like Meat Loaf was on-board. A quick search on Google reveals that he was playing Hamburg yesterday.
HAM-MAN must be a hell of a flight on J41, probably 2 and half hours! 😀

Difficult to generalise, but typically most folks tend to hand fly until after flap retraction. Depends on circumstances…flying a familiar SID at a quiet time of day is a good time for some manual flying. Equally, departing somewhere unfamiliar at 0300 with thunderstorms flashing away, far, far safer to enagage the AP ASAP….all down to common sense basically.
Thanks. 🙂

Moondance/wysiwyg,
Do you mostly “hand-fly” the initial part of the SID/Departure Route or do you try and stick the AP on as soon as possible?
Bit of a off-topic question but just interested to know. 🙂

That is quite an unexpected new route from Jet2. easyJet serve ALC from Newcastle which is only down the road from MJV so I wonder how well the route will do.

Not visited Concorde yet and I frequently visit the AVP @ MAN!
They are ripping you off in my opinion. For £12 and you only get 3 mins in the flightdeck!? 😉

I haven’t got a fantastic camera but I will still show my efforts! 😉
