They are perfectly safe, when was the last time you heard of one falling out the sky?

    12 Aug 2004

3X-GCB, 737-200C Adv, 22627/779, Del 11/8/81, Air Guinee Express; Lungi Airport, Sierra Leone:

The Aircraft had just got airborne from Lungi airport in Sierra Leone’s capital Freetown at 14:23 local time bound for Banjul. It crashed into a swamp three miles from the runway, leaving one wing partly submerged in mud. Eyewitness reports say that the left wing caught fire after take-off and that the left engine subsequently exploded shortly before impact.

About 50 pax were treated in hospital for shock and minor injuries but all 126 survived.

You’ll be fine, Ryanair’s machines are perfectly safe. 🙂

Hope you enjoy your flights Elgan, looking forward to reading your report and make sure you take plenty of pics! 😀

PS. EI-DAO (Pride of Scotland) operated the ORK today Elgan so you might be very lucky and get on that. If not I hope I will! :p

Are they short of a/c at certain times or is it poor tech despatch reliabiity of the based 733s??

The latter I would think. The B733s are ex. Buzz and are un-reliable and caused numorous problems with Ryanair when they had them. bmibaby also have a few ex. Buzz B733s and they have had many problems with them also.

    I wouldn’t mind getting on a Titan B733 or B752 though! 😎

    All are excellent shots. 😀

I too like the departing TU-154 shot. I always look forward to seeing Balkan Holidays TU-154s @ MAN, not so much because they are quite rare in this part of the world, but watching them depart, they just rocket into the sky like no other aircraft with a very high angle of attack. Quite a sight! 🙂

Theres an EAL flight from Kefallinia due in 22 and a half hours late at MAN!

That is what you get when you fly 30-32 year old Boeing 732s! Doesn’t suprise me one bit.

As for Flyjet there puncuality has improved on last year, but they still have some hefty delays from time to time. Doesn’t help when they only have 2 B757s and they are not exactly the newest around.

    One word TECH. 😉

Its not unusual for a technical problem to a delay a flight for quite a few hours. He/She might have missed there slot too and that could add on to the delay.

Or alternatively, a better example would be a British Airways flight from Gatwick, an airport also served by easyJet. Why do you get these insane passengers who would prefer to pay twice as much as an easyJet fare to go to exactly the same airport? Its because they want all the extras offered by the full-fares airline.

Not necessarily, many passengers going to London who are going for work related reasons have no say who they fly on. Most companies have deals with British Airways/bmi for internal UK flights. So there company puts them on a BA flight and they have no say.

A lot of people put other people’s websites and other companies websites as there homepage on many different forums. I don’t think you will be able to do much about it, although the A.net mods will remove it most likely.

Nice shots again there, a bit of a Scandinavian theme going on! 🙂

And that very “well kept” Onur Air A321 is looking great too. 😉

Don’t get used to the good weather yet, there are some very concerning weather warnings for the UK from tomorrow and onwards, don’t know how badly they’ll affect the NorthWest.

That weather is mainly for the South, the thunder/lightning is going to spread to the North East so shouldn’t hit MAN. Although the forecast is for cloud.

Nice, but a small mistake. Where it says ‘How can we help?’ the middle pic (A320 and 747) is actually of MAN.

I know what your getting at. There is a very similar photo spot at 24L @ Manchester, where you can get shots almost identical to that photo.

But, they look like two British Airways aircraft to me and they look like they are either holding for 27R or taxing to 27R @ LHR. You can tell this because the flaps are extended for takeoff.
