The distance from the buildings is rather exaggerated by the long lens, as the first shot, taken from the 17 holding point shows. The altitude, if genuine, is a bit alarming, as 17 has a highly displaced landing threshold (look at the arrows indicating the displacement in pic 2), to discourage approaches like this.
I’m with your professional viewpoint on this. Still don’t think this is real.

The Dash 8 Q400, is a great aircraft, comfortable airey and very quiet. I have flown VLM many times LPL-LCY and MAN- LCY and the Flybe machine is far superior. I found the 146 on the return also comfortable, and better than I have experienced in the past with other carriers. both aircraft had leather seating.
The Dash 8 Q400 sounds great, I’am really looking forward to the flight!

Iām flying bmi Regional LBA-CDG-LBA in a few weeks, will this be a ERJ 145? I heard that the ERJ is sort of a development of the EMB120, will the cabin be the same?

Hopefully I will get a visit on bmi Regional. I totally agree on what you are saying Mark, its mostly down to the cabin crew. If you get crew that are up there own arses they will always say its against company policy.
I think its best to ask for a visit after the flight, I have found if you ask during the flight the cabin crew presume that you want an “in-flight” visit and mostly say no.
Thanks for the info My340. I don’t think getting a good seat will be a problem because MAN-GLA-MAN flights are rarely full to the brim.

Nice pic. G-BVKD seems to be visiting MAN fairly regularly these days.
I was in Knutsford today (around 3 miles from MAN) and couldn’t belive my eyes when I saw the PIA B743 on departure (going to Karachi, Islamabad or Lahore) at around 4:15. It couldn’t have been more than 600-700 feet when it was starting the right hand turn on the DESIG 1 Y departure.
PIA B747s normally are very low over Knutsford on climbout but this was just unbelivable!
