You should have a nice time on Finnair’s B757. 🙂

Mons 757s are just as Jurassic.

But the difference is, MON have taken care, mostly, of their 757s. And we all now a Boeing is forever. LOL

I have personally flown on a few MON B757s and I can tell you that they are not perticulary well taken care of (from the inside anyway).

It would be good to get your facts right first for a change instead of just making things up all the time.

People might not agree with me hear but I would pick Ryanair from easyJet anyday.

Ryanair are much more punctual then easyJet, EZY have disappointed me on a number of occations. With regards customer service (Ryanair might be just as bad) and also cabin crew members handling passengers on-board in a unprofessional manner.

easyJet cabin crew also think its really funny to make various “jokes” during the safety demo, Ryanair take the demo seriously at least.

Just my point of view between FR and EZY! 😉

Yeah I live around that region myself and on a clear day, Heavy’s at altitude going to the states keep on coming and coming, quite interesting to see.

I have seen the NCL-Milan BGO flight pass over at contrail altitude coming in from the northeast and then taking a sharp left turn southwards. Would that be the standard routing for this service and would it be at contrail altitude by then?

    Luke

I would have thought so, aircraft can usually reach there crusing altitude in around 20/25 mins (depending on ATC).

Nice report Kevin. Interesting to read about your experiences on flybe. as I will be flying with them in a few weeks time. 🙂

Perhaps the pilots might be able to clear up a query for me? Is it true that the 146 when descending maintains a significant nose down attitude right up until the flare? This appeared to be the case for both landings unless it’s some kind of optical illusion.
Also, the aircraft seemed to judder slightly every time we slowed down. I hadn’t noticed this with the 737?

Finally, as the landings were smoother than those experienced on board the 737, is the landing speed of the 146 slower, or is it because the aircraft is lighter?

Yeah your right the 146/RJ series approaches nose down on most approaches. That “judder” like Mark said was just the extension of the airbrake to increase the rate of descent. Most BAe 146/RJ pilots say that its easier to pull of a “greaser” on those aircraft.

The BAe 146/RJ are not the best aircraft to fly on if your scared of flying, with all the different noises going on! 😀

I really don’t think it would be a wise move to slap a 737 on it, and I really don’t think baby management would be even contemplating that. There’s far more money to be on the sunshine routes!

Yeah exactly, just members speculating without any real facts.

You just have to look at Jet2, don’t think they are doing perticularly well on the MAN-EDI-MAN service, just 60-70 pax although this might have changed recently.

Perhaps bmi baby would take the route over from bmi.

I highly doubt it, they wouldn’t be able to fill a B737 on the route.

A good indicator of this is the aircraft types used on the route. bmi use a ERJ-135/145 and BA use a Dash 8.

Yeah, but if no mod is online, what can they do?

Only Allen and the mods have the power to change his message.

Yeah I understand. Obviously if no mod is online they can’t change it.

Come on mods this is serious, someone can easily make serious changes to his booking, even cancel his flight without a refund. 🙁

I don’t think its that safe to broadcast your booking reference number on a forum.

I would take it off from your post Allan. 🙂

What would be the point starting MAN-GLA, when there competing directly with bmi, the airline that owns them?!
