I’m rather pleased that the BBC broadcast the ‘obscenity’ before the watershed – allowing children the opportunity to watch will hopefully see them growing up a little more tolerant and understanding than previous generations seem to have judging by some of the comments on this thread.
An interesting set – I really like the angle of photo 1

Thsnks very much for your comments – the Hibiscus is great when it isn’t raining!!
Alex,
I have completed your survey.
What I would say though, is that for me, it rather misses the point – I don’t find traffic congestion actually at the airport particularly problematic. The problem I have is actually getting their – while on a good day I can drive to Heathrow in around 75 minutes, in practice it can take twice this time or longer due to traffic on the M25. As a consequence, I often take the train / underground as although that takes longer, it is easier to predict when I will arrive.
Anyway – I hope it helps, and good luck with your course – I nearly signed up for it many years ago!!
Neil
Thanks for your comments – indeed, Garry, it is amazing to see one flying in the UK.
Several have been stored at Biggin for some time, so I assume it is one of those.
Thanks very much.
I am willing to bet whatever you like, more trains arrive later than sooner, whatever the weather. These days.
Lincoln .7
68% of trains arrive within 1 minute of scheduled time, over 90% within five minutes according to Network Rail (http://www.networkrail.co.uk/about/performance/)

Hi,
This was a truly excellent day out – here are some of my photos:-
TriStar ZE705 dominated the parking area:-

Only a few days before her final flight it was VC-10 ZA147 that was the star for most people:-

We were allowed very good access to all the aircraft – the elevated aspect of this photo of XV303 was a result of photographing it from one of the TriStar’s windows:-

I hope the photos are of interest – more are at http://www.flickr.com/photos/indiaecho/

Thaanks for the comments. It certainly was a great day out, and I’m sure anyone with even the slightest interest in light aircraft will enjoy themselves.
Oops!
Thanks very much – Luton isn’t a great place for airliners, so the Jordan certainly livened things up a bit!
Neil
EGTC – thanks very much!
Yes – the 757 is a very good looking aircraft that can set off just about any livery!
Thanks very much for your comments.
Although Amsterdam is KLM’s hub, and you d oend up seeing loads of their aircraft, there is plenty of other airlines serving the airport to maintain interest levels, not least from the large number of freighter aircraft. And I agree about the Corsair livery – got to be one of the best out there!
