nice piccys, pity I missed the show, I was there last year with the IGB display, but this year there was a new committee, and we wernt asked to show this year. Pity the TSR2 wasnt down by the show site, but it looks good outside!

Unfortunatly this happens. Apedale mining museum had a Mines Rescue Service medal taken from a display by a casual volunteer, they didnt know it was gone until my father spotted it on ebay (was a local colliery issue, frustratingly the medals owner is also a volunteer at the same museum) it was recovered and that person who took it wasnt allowed in the museum anymore.

Hope they recover the medals and catch/prosecute the person(s) responsible.

called in on sunday last…..(had been to the militaria fair) nice to see whats new etc. funny how when both myself and my mate walked into the cafe it went very quiet……maybe something to do with the fact I was wearing USAF bdu’s and my mate DDR winter uniform!!!….anyway interesting chat with the volunteer looking after the canberra B1, shame the TSR2 cockpit was covered up though! Only downside was the RAF Regiment reenactors display, a few errors, a PRC344 labled as a 351, the “washing line” aerial labled as “SAS” and the desert dpm jacket with the american webbing. A good display though. All that aside, I do like visiting Newark!
