Well,India can take care of the anything which Comes into its airspace.
India wont put any blaim Pakistan untill and unless
Plane had stopped at one of the Pakistan’s/Afghanistan’s runways before heading to India…….

And to stop terrorist attack u dont need AMRAAMs I think pakistan’ has good Air Defence and well spread Air Bases and can intercept such Planes in time
BVR’s are good idea for use in actual war,and Pakistan sure needs them in case of war but to prevent Terrorist attack…Naaaaah!!

Maybe it is correct that it is lower tech but it is probably cheaper and esier to find ecport orders. If you look at the other export products you will see that it is cheap. And that is the major selling point.
Yep, if the intrested cust country is satisfied with orig config Al Khalid Then yes It proves to be quite cheap,but if they go in for changes like what(Saudi arabia ) asked for ,then I think so it becomes quite expensive

It is not a question of ‘bad quality of work’ or ‘good quality of work’. It is a question of building an engine.
Almond,We people tend to be impatient and tend to jump to the gun whenever there is a slight problem in any of the defence programs of India.
I know there is difference between hypersonic Engine and Jet Engine,but just
to give example,Isnt America facing prob in Developing hypersonic Plane,Why because he is working on a new technology & will it leave development because of prob? NO!! Because america sees immense oppurtunities in this new tech.
Similarly,though India’s Jet engine development may not seem ambitious infront of above quoted example,but what I mean India knows what boost it will be to Indian Aviation industry if this Engine is successfull.And it will go on working on it!
To All of my Pakistani friends,See China!! If it was so Easy to build a modren aircraft,Why China stuck to basic Mig designs for 40 years!!!It is only recently that has started to work on New designs(that too with ToT from west or Israel(J-10))!!! The way u claim for development time for FC-1 we could claim for IJT Sitara. Because Fc-1 or IJT do not involve that amount of complication as LCA or J-10 involves……
And somebody said about ToT is not possible,why do u think China completly made its Kunlun engine or the new TVC engine without help of Russia???

Hey it was really intresting to see the interiors of Phalcon(I have seen it for the first time)I thank you for doing me such a favour.Particularly it was intresting to see the way electronic 360 deg scanning takes place that too without Radome.
I am proud of the choice India has made and from where it is making the purchase.

Buddy Canpark some people dont understand,that every first attempt is besieged with failures and success.Thing is niether to get elated over success nor get bogged down by failure.Work till success is achieved.as I said earlier India is not seeing LCA as current 3rd- 4th generation aircraft but as a foundation for Advanced Indian Aviation
Industry.So India wont get bogged down by these failures….

It would be cool to see the LCA with the TVC EJ-200. If not the EJ why not the new M-88-3? I don’t think India has any problems buying from Europe.
Let the Kaveri take its time. It can be added once it is mastered.

Yes Buddy ,I too agree GE 404 is considered to be slightly underpowered
as compared to requirement of LCA.

Let’s say, at least one decade to get decent skills.
Dont u worry,things will fasten up, due to ToT from Russia or France..
Remember Kaveri is lot different from what conventional engines we are used
to in subcontinent.What we are trying to achieve 100% self reliance it takes … time.U see Kaveri will not only power LCA but also MCA.
Meanwhile GE 404 will power the initial batches….
