Errr you are assuming that Indian ‘Tacticians’ are unfamiliear with IDF. Maybe they arent or…..

Hmmm.. MKI’s.. i think it would prove a good oppurtunity for the IAF to evaluate Su30 Mki’ performance against top of the line IDF f-16(if usa permits israel to field them)
this event will prove to be of great significance to Indian tacticians against backdrop of rumored possibility of usa selling F-16’s to Pakistan..

i think after this visit,more defence equipment is likely to be purchased from israel.

also… do the FC-1s and J-10s appear to you as super mushaks ? 😮

if that is so then you have a problem…. ever heard of ” never under-estimate your enemy ? “

I never said that FC-1 or J-10 looked like Super Mushaks.What I meant was that with FC-1 & J-10 there is something called undetermined time factor(as both are in diferent development stages )

to say pak should consider only fc-1 & j-10 is
to say like india should never consider Mirage2000-5 better wait for the Lca or pak-fa
so u got my point 😉

No MiG-27ML ever dropped a PGM during Kargil. Like Jaguar’s DARIN, their 44LK systems and software (not to mention, aerodynamics) are optimised for low level work and rely on their rather limited LRMTSs and not LDPs for designation. Nuff’ said.

Read my Post clearly it said “only mirage 2000
was capable of delivering percision guided munitions successfully” I never said Mig27 initially used PGMs But I think that later israelli PGMs were used on MiG27
(Do remember photographs of Mig27 fitted with PGMs being reedied for action in kargil)
research some old magazines like india today
issues dating some time after kargil war.In those articles they clearly stated that IAF was finding difficulty in hitting targets initially only aircraft which initially effective was Mirage 2000 or the Mi17’s(later they were withdrawn due to their vunerability).Jaguar completely failed to perform at those altitudes.although Mig 27 & Mig 21 did participate but werent able to perform satisfactorily

Later timely PGM introduction did help

Today an article in The Tirbune,The Hindustan Times stated clearly that pakistan will get only 18 F-16 from US that too after the elections… So goes to drain 52 Pak F-16

flex u made me remember LCA .Recently DRDO chief admitted about problems in Kaveri seems USA will win more Ge 404 contracts….

Kaveri program seriously needs some steroids…

JF-17 is still very far off from being an operational fighter unless PAF decides to be satisfied with JF-17 with medium level of technology. Still much needs to be done
if they want their plane to have all those goodies, well may not take time as INDIA considering china’s help to pakistan but definately JF-17 will be inducted after LCA induction

su-30mki is a multirole aircraft & it was bought for both ground & air roles.
next su-30mki is needed for ground roles as we saw in kargil that only mirage 2000
was capable of delivering percision guided munitions successfully.mig27 target hitting capability was not so great as mirage2000. so something in airforce was needed in
to augment strike capability so we have su-30mki(cheaper than mirage 2000-5 which was a competitor to su30mki in bid). Well that pdf is an extract of
some Tempur magazine which says Rafel’s Popeye missile will one of the weapon of su-30mki… I have already attached that file ..

well i have got a pdf document that says that israeli popeye will become one of the main ground attack weapons of indian sukhoi 30 mki
