Just found this. This is how the same Herald, G-BAZJ, should be. Notice the difference?! Long gone are it’s days unfortunately.
The same Herald, G-BAZJ how it should be.
2.
And a final one. This looks pretty damn close! I wouldn’t mind being the photographer!
Ok, now for a few others. Surely this can’t be good, touching down front-wheels first?! Isn’t that gonna cause damage to the landing gear?
Second picture of the Herald.
Nice pics Andy! I really need to get up to LHR sometime soon, it’s just this weather that spoils all the fun.
Yes I would agree that the first is an MD-11. You can see there are 3 sets of engine data displays, and with it being a relatively modern ‘glass’ cockpit it would suggest that it’s not a DC-10.
I have to go about 5 miles to school by bus. In the South East we are really un-prepared for snow, and so as soon as it starts setting that’s it. The airport closes, trains and buses cancelled and the orads are blocked by cars of stupid people that have tried getting to work and have got stuck. Last year it hit us really bad on the 31st Jan, and that was it, 2 days off school for me 😀
Yay come on snow! I love severe weather, becuase it means days off school, and it just makes things a bit more fun!:D
They were based at Stansted with 4 727’s, G-BNNI, BPND, OKJN and OPMN. They came from Sabre airlines, and I think that a large part of them went to forming Excel.
Yes really excellent pics mate! You’re really lucky to have a spot like that where you can look down onto the taxiway close up. At Stansted it’s just hopeless.

There’s no part of Albert Ross’ post that refers to you not contributing. He has simply said that he shouldn’t be contributing during working hours, not you!
Looks amazing, I really cannot wait to see it fly! Shouldn’t be too long, it’s probably been asked many times before, but does anyone know when it’s first scheduled to fly?
Very nice pic again, you got any more to show us, other than the few you put up yesterday?
