Fantastic work Peter, DHL looks great! I’m still editing shots from our trip in December…there are countless opportunities in AMS.

Thanks everyone for all your kind comments! It certainly did make up for a rather poor day.

Next trip is in a week, to ACE via MAD and TFN (including a ride on an IB A340! 😀 ) so hopefully I’ll bring back a few photos from those journeys.

Cheers guys, as far as I know the 737’s have 2-3 seating in Club Europe, which would suggest slightly wider seats. I think they also provide 34″ legroom, which is definitely enough room for your legs, I wouldn’t expect to be able to lie flat on MAD-LGW! It would also mean lounge access in MAD’s new terminal, and with a 2h20min connection (provided IB arrive on time from ACE) then a lounge with free food/drink would be excellent. And it’d certainly make a much better Valentines Day than sitting in a hard chair of a normal departure lounge for over 2 hours.

Does anyone else have any opinions or information?

A very good start with the 400D, the weather certainly didn’t do you any favours though!

Which aperture were you shooting at for most of them? My best advice would be to set the aperture number as high as you possibly can without blurring the shots (this might mean panning to the best of your ability). With wider apertures and slower shutter speeds, more light will enter and the shots will be more in focus. In very dark conditions I might be inclined to over expose by about a 1/3rd or possibly 2/3rd’s.

Thanks very much again everyone, you’re all too kind!

On Sunday I am flying to Frankfurt Hahn for a few hours, so hopefully I’ll bring back a few photos from there. 🙂

Oh, and could the mods shed any light on why this thread apparently has no replies, and whenever I go to post it tells me there is a ‘Database Error’. So I then refresh, re-post, same message. Then to find that it’s posted itself 2 or 3 times.

    Thanks!

Paul, of course I don’t mind! Although the bigger, better quality version is here, you may want ot use that http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=5902968

Michael, I will have a look through the shots this week to see if I can find any of BFT.

    Cheers for the comments! 🙂

Really fantastic work mate! I quite fancy LBA for some of those spotting positions. Those ones of CELK and CELS, were they just lucky catches (rotating/climbing out just at the right place/right time) or are they they usual angles you can expect from that particular vantage point? Because if they are, it looks really good! Will have to consider it at some point…
