Sandy that’s bad news mate. I wish the Customer Service folk who don’t take pride and help customers would take some pride and sort out a simple task like moving a flight. At least the service desk were good about it.

P.S. Where abouts did you stay? One of the girls from work is going over in April and looking for some recommendations.

I second that, especially as I’ve just converted onto the C172.

I’m hoping to travel over the U.K. this summer in it….

It’s good news for folk who don’t want to mess around with flying / driving / getting the train down south.

Tonight Aberdeen also gained approval for 24 hour operation – which they say will add 4 flights per day during summer.

Good day for Scottish aviation – more business = more flights = more pilot positions. Ye ha.

Unless you fly under them with 500′ clearance then, No!
    Might need a submarine though…

Is it resonable to fly below 500′ agl, bar takeoff and landing, as long as there are no people, houses or vessels?

I wouldn’t mind doing some low flying but I’m not too sure on Rule 5 – does it allow flying below 500′ as long as there is nothing about?

Looks like you had an intersesting flight steph 😉

What colour is the door to be, and which way will it be facing?

Its got to be feng shui’d, hasn’t it?;)

    Flood

It will be red and facing north/east. It’ll have doormen I suspect and possibly lap dancers. 🙂

I let it pass by moving on to do something else. Then I’ll try again.

On the other hand I regularly smash things up……..only kidding.

Difficult, Is it a double garage you require!! Inview of your project?? 😉 Anna 😀 😀

I really need a double but I’m using this single to store it. I’ll take the bumpers, interior etc etc off of the car and also store them there.

The paint shop is only a few minutes drive away – so all should be good if it does go ahead.

I’d say a 747-400 would come in at anywhere from 120 kts to 140 kts depending on load.

Judging from the plan, it looks like the beach will be built on, creating a pier type structure that will accomodate the runway extensions ?

It looks as if side on views will be possible but actual overhead experiences look as if they’ll be impossible ? 🙁

Ah, cheers Ren. I see it now, at first I never thought that they were extending out onto the beach.

Helican, how will this change the approach? I assume the aircraft will still be flying the same visual approach, which would take them over the beach. Even if they were landing slightly further down the runway they would still come in over the beach, albeit possibly 50-100 foot higher.
