Maybe she woke up one morning and thought **** it, I’m going to sail round the world.
Why not? If she likes it, go for it!

I helped to build this, in a garage, in sub-zero temperatures, but I never got to fly in it.

God sheep with wigs have come a long way – they can build aircraft now?
Everytime I see your Avtar I start laughing, It looks excellent. The eyes are classic! 😀

Maybe he is surfing the flooded streets of Melbourne!

I seen a big black guy dancing in a country lane when I was driving through it!
Once I was drinking a milkshake and I seen someones arm fall off.
DME
Oh I always wanted to fly a Lysander as well.

Interesting how often the Chipmunk crops up. I had air experience flights in them when I was in the ATC, and was lucky to get a flight in one about 18 months ago. Would love to have another go, maybe after the PPL.
DME: didn’t get flying this weekend, had to cancel due to the parent being taken to hospital. 🙁
Yeah the chipmunk looks fun.
Sorry to hear about the hospital thing.
DME
I’d also like to fly the chipmunk as it was the first light aircraft flight that never happened. I went over to Turnhouse and the weather was too bad to fly.
I’ve managed to get a ride in one, so who knows I migt get my hands on the stick!!!
P.S. Dodrums, were you flying last Saturday? I flew over Cumbernauld on my way to Dundee.

DME, to be honest, I agree with flood. If people can’t be bothered to put their point across clearly, then they run the risk of people not understanding them or dismissing their point of view. There are, of course, exceptions to this – English isn’t everyone’s first language, after all.

I know what you mean. I’m sure he would write correctly at school, but this forum has a light chatty feel, hence the text talk.

It’s somewhat ironic that you’ve gone to such lengths to hammer home your point by using “image” rather than “imagine”. Just an observation.
Times are moving on, the young use text spelling, where we use English. Many moons ago I recall seeing something by Geoff the caveman, he just used pictures.
I don’t see the problem, skool – school, mof – moth, baf – bath, ciga – cigar etc, etc.

‘MY’ DB9 is around the £70K mark – I would spend that, no worries, as long as some airline would take me on.
DME
I have a MK 1 Golf GTI, but I would really like a DB9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets hope someone takes me on when I get my fATPL

Well my nice red Peugeot 206 got keyed right along all the offside panels just days before the end of it’s lease period before Christmas. Total cost of respraying £744! 😮 😡
It’s now gone back to the leasing company and I picked up my nice, new ‘Indigo Blue’ 206 on Monday, although it’s currently sporting a temporary arctic white finish. 😮
Ren. hindsights a good thing 🙁 I know a painter from well street… a family friend!

Mark 1 Golf GTI
Mess. Wonder why the rear tyre has not burst?

Exactly, you can’t really compare the two – it is impossible to define ‘better.’ ATPLs are much better at following complex procedures and GA pilots are probably better at flying tricky machines with few avionics. That is possibly the reality but is still a huge generalisation – and I probably speak from a fairly skewed perspective as I generally know GA pilots who fly unusual machines – cubs, pitts, warbirds etc and not many who just zip about in pipers and cessnas (except myself!)
It is impossible to speak for the whole of the GA community or indeed the whole commercial community. This is why it is impossible to decide who is better – and indeed the whole argument becomes derivative if you attempt to. Nobody is better or worse than anyone else but macho arrogance is something that really winds me up – particularly in this case as it can injury innocent people.
Arrogance, no matter macho or not, should never come into a professional environment. Being open and listening to other views helps – however being incompetent and not being able to exercise authority, where it is needed, can cause accidents.
