There are very few things I find offensive. Not that I always go looking for un-PC comedy, but quite a few of my favourite comedies/stand-ups are ‘edgy’ that some people may find offensive. Maybe it’s just the generation I grew up in, or maybe it’s just me. I don’t think there’s any clear cut answer – all opinion.

It’s not a grand aesthetic design change from, say, the 767 (certainly not the frozen design, the early designs looked quite different). However, it does look different and to me it does look good. Looks great in flight with gear up. As with most aircraft I think some liveries will make it look a lot better than others.

The white van was probably too dirty for the pilots to see it and the van driver was probably too busy having a bacon butty and reading the local rag to notice the aircraft!

Why would that have made a difference? In themsleves the remarks were still irresponsible and stupid.

Because it still would have been a stupid comment to make but may not have been picked up.

What I am saying is that if this, to me, infantile communication medium did not exist he could not have sent his stupid tweet. I am not condoning the actions of the authorities in any way. In that I agree with you.

I wonder if he would have gotten into the same amount of trouble if he had posted it as his Facebook status?

Still generating publicity for Air NZ: “have you seen that new stupid ad for Air NZ?!” Still, they better watch they don’t sink to Ryanair’s level!

    Today … I discovered. I’m a geek.

    I can remember pi as 3.1415923565 … 😮

Obviously you’re not that much of a geek. It’s actually 3.141592654.

    I think planks constant is 6.023 E-23? Of course 0 deg C is 273.15K.

And for those who don’t want to take the risk but need to get to another country, fast, to get to a sick loved one?

for excellent service all round..give me Singapore Airlines every time..they’re a country mile ahead of any other airline in the skies today

I’m sure it wasn’t a unanimous decision – each to their own and all that 😉

Besides, it wasn’t solely awarded on customer service.

There was another thread a while ago about another airline and similar polices (that I couldn’t find) – was it Qantas and/or Air NZ? I guess statistically more paedophiles are males so it may be better sitting them next to females (the children, that is), but this was gone about the wrong way in this instance.

I’m all for them. Anything that makes flying safer. Others are right (IMO), so many other things these days ‘give you cancer’ so you can never win (unless you live a very sheltered life). I’m sure sitting here typing on my wireless laptop with mobile phone beside me is giving me a fair amount of dose of radiation anyway.

Perhaps someone needs to look at airports that already use body scanners (like Domodedovo) and test their frequent fliers to see if there’s any change in them.
