There is so much nonsense being posted here by blindly doting BBC acolytes, that I am in despair. Yes I do know how much the BBC costs us, only too much – I help to pay for it! It has been wasting my money and yours for years. The great institution was long ago consigned to the scrap heap of ratings chasing. I(t is hugely overstaffed and hugely inefficient. No, I am not Cameron, but rather him than a continuation of the bunch of loonies we now have. And at least there are signs that he realises what bis wrong with the BC and aims to put it right.

Can’t see you getting much sympathy on here with that attitude, but of course we are all entitled to our own opinions! May not be wise to voice yours as strongly as you are though….

Anyway, before I moved away from the place I was quite happy paying my TV licence for shows such as Doctor Who, Top Gear and comedies such as Mitchell and Webb. Plus, I did enjoy not having ad-breaks! Just realised that a lot of, if not all, of Doctor Who is filmed in Cardiff. So I for one have no issues with the Beeb moving operations away from London if they can produce shows of that calibre away from the place.

That sometimes, two or more people who have a native language that isn’t English, will have whole conversations to each other in English, even when they are not around any native English speakers.

That the workings of super-duper technology that can do things once thought of as ‘sci-fi’, or something once thought of ‘unexplained phenomenon’, can be explained rationally as if they could be invented now quite easily.

That everyone is good looking!

That Jessica Fletcher can solve a crime WHEREVER SHE IS, yet no one clicks that it is rather suspicious that she is ALWAYS around when there is a crime…..

That even though there exists several neighbourhoods in the UK (Square’s, Close’s, Village’s, Street’s etc) where people are constantly dying/being killed/having affairs/committing crimes, people still think it is a good idea to move there?!

That generally, no one goes to the toilet.

That when a bad guy goes to kill a good guy, there is always a need to hesitate and make some speech, giving just enough time for the good guy to turn the tables or for someone to intervene.

That a) I would be a lot better off if I signed up to some form of debt consolidation scheme, b) I would be a lot better off if I went through a claims company if I trip on the street or cut my finger at work and c) it is a perfectly rational and normal thing to do to air my families problems on national TV.

Bloody useless flatmates using too much internet and hitting the stupidly small download limit 10 days before it resests – leaving us all on dial-up speeds.

The only saving grace is that they have to pay for their selfishness also.

I’m afraid nobody in senior management will return your e-mails either, not least because most senior airline managers receive their e-mails via their PA’s for that very reason. All that would happen is that the PA would forward it on to the customer servcie department. I know a number of airline execs who don’t even have a visible e-mail address, their return e-mail addy’s just go straight back to their PA’s.

One exception to the rule may be Rob Fyfe of Air NZ! He regularly reads customers emails and replies to them personally.

I can’t fathom how a kid as young as 12 can be so certain that they want to change gender. But I guess no one could understand unless they’ve been in the situation.

No matter what approach the parents/teachers went about, I think unfortunately the kid was going to get picked on at one stage or another. As much as one would like to, you can’t expect all kids at that age to accept and understand what he/she has done – which will invariably lead to some form of bullying.

Well, it’s almost 10pm on the other side of the globe and our day is almost over. As far as I know, we haven’t all died here (yet).
