I’ve never been a big Star Trek fan (never made a point of watching it, but have had nothing against it), but I do enjoy Sci-Fi films.

As a non Trekkie; I loved it too! Thought it was superb. Simon Pegg putting in a fantastic performance as Scottie.

Why not go a step further and stop selling alcohol altogether as it causes death due to car accidents, injury due to violence and general thuggery. No. People should be allowed to enjoy a drink while flying. Though if possible, people consuming/having consumed too much should be more closely monitored.

Thanks for highlighting the news Steve, as it happens, all the way from Oz 😉

One of the better flavours! Would happily munch through several packs of them.

If you want an in depth analysis of which car is good and which is not, a 4 minute segment on the television won´t cut it. Buy yourself a car magazine for that. Top Gear is just for fun, and it is good fun too! In fact, I heard somewhere it is one of the most exported shows the BBC currently has in production.

I also heard that it is one of, if not the top, downloaded show in the World also, as people all over the Globe enjoy watching it. I enjoy watching it for its entertainment value. I actually prefer all the expensive cars on there, as I appreciate the engineering that goes into them and what you can get out of them. They do also review ‘standard’ Fiats, Fords, VW’s etc also…

If they really need to and the fantastic trio don’t really want to….all they have to do is get a female Stig 😉

The point I’m making is that it’s only her who’s being condemned, the absent father hasn’t been mentioned.I agree the way the children are being fed is ludicrous but I still think she deserves some credit for keeping them and if she’s still living with her Mum I’d expect the mother would have at least some idea of how to feed kids properly .

It has been known for woman to trick guys into sleeping with them just to get pregnant, let’s not assume the father was consenting and should have stuck around 😉
How would HER mum have any idea how to feed kids properly is the daughter is THAT size!

I just did a quick comparison. As an example, going from Edinburgh to Rome and back again, Ryanair is the only service that offers this direct from EDI. True, it flies into Ciampino which then entails a 1hr bus into the city centre – flights come to about £65 for the period of 1st-15th June. The other option would be to pay £160 to fly with Lufthansa EDI-FRA-FCO. Arguably pumping more pollutants into the atmosphere. So they’re not all bad; they do have their uses on some routes.

Back on topic? I would feel (and have felt) a little hard done by if I’m paying the same fare as the two people either side of me and I ended up somewhat ‘confined’ in my middle seat as the two other passengers in question were ‘larger’ than myself. And if I turned up at check in with a bag that was a few kg overweight, I would be annoyed at paying a surcharge if the person checking in next to/behind me had a bag that was just below the limit yet was clearly a few kg’s heavier that myself.

Perhaps one day all passengers will be weighed and charged accordingly. But as can be seen here, there would be uproar against the first airline to do so as it goes against current human ethics. I think if someone actually did start doing this, more would follow.

Boring choice for me really; either all my important docs or a portable HDD with years of data on it.
