Granted she was a mother and a human being, but in no way do I think what she ‘did’ in her life deserved as much (if any) coverage. There have been many more great people with as severe or more severe illnesses, that have not had as much attention – and deserved it. There are far greater things going on in this world than some loud mouth having a (granted, terminal) illness and they deserve the column inches. I am glad I won’t have to hear about this anymore (except, no doubt, the funeral coverage over the next week or so).
And to think they are more than double the height of us!
I think it is a great tool that will be beneficial for tourists/prospective movers who want to ‘case’ an area they are going to. Its one thing being described a (perhaps sugar-coated) representation of the area over the phone, it’s a whole new world seeing it for yourself in seconds!
I, like many others, checked out where I lived on it. From one angle, my car licence plate wasn’t blurred yet all the others were. I ‘reported a concern’ just for the sake of doing so really (I wasn’t all that bothered) and the very next day they had removed the picture and instead it was just a ‘black’ view (until you clicked forward/back) a step. All they had to do was blur my plate but still, nice of them to make the effort 😀

As someone with a good head on their shoulders and has had experience in a customer service role, I would say this: I reckon everyone should have at least one days experience behind a till or desk. Just so everyone realises what utter (often unprovoked and unnecessary) nonsense and agro customer service staff often have to face.
Saying that; the original point made by BSG also rings true. Some of these people serving the customers are about as dim-witted as they come and are the kind of people that put old shape off going into a shop!

Not looking too far into this, more of an opinion than anything else, but would Airbus be able to divert profits from, say, the A330 programme (that is doing quite well) into the A380 programme, to level out the balance? Or do they keep everything totally separate and incur a loss from the A380 programme?

Very nice pic, I cant help notice the wing tip with the Union Jack!
Union Flag 😉
All I’m saying is; ask the ‘common Joe’ who may have a small idea about aviation, what a ‘revolutionary aircraft’ would be and chances are they would say “Boeing 747”, “Concorde” or “Airbus A380”. I would be very surprised that anyone would say “Oh, yeah, what about that A320-100!”.
Do Ryanair have those little check in terminals at airports? If so, do you get charged to use them?
I did a Masters of Mechanical Engineering at Uni with the goal of entering the aerospace sector. Good job I did, as aeronautical engineering jobs are pretty thin on the ground these days (I know from experience).
At least with my Mechanical degree I can go in to a whole lot of other stuff; oil/gas/design/renewables/automotive. So……don’t rule that path out 😉

Don’t have a credit card. Don’t really want one either.
If I can’t afford it, I can’t afford it, simple.
Some say that it’s actually good to have a credit card as it boosts your credit rating. Something along the lines of: if you have one, spend on it, and pay it back; it shows you can handle credit responsibly and people would be more inclined to give you credit for loans, mortgages etc in the future.
Doesn’t mean to say everyone should get one though 😀
