Ukranian arent they 😉
Great shot of the 124/225!
I was always a fan of the Hs748 myself, but comparison with the A380 seems more than a little unfair. :D:D:D:D
lol!
It is a very attractive design, would beat the A380 in a beauty pageant any day! I especially like the (what seams to be) more prominent winglets compared to the 773
Uni is great……when you’re on holiday and there’s not constant work/study to be done!
Makes me feel really sorry for the engineering students that have really busy timetables.
Tell me about it 🙁
Are Antonov paying you for that free advertisment you put up 😉
Cracking pics anyway, well done
That must be a Captains equivalent of driving down the motorway in a massive 32-wheeler. You must feel like the king of the playground flying that thing!
I think we all gathered what he was talking about none-the-less
Well, thanks for that insight and view of things. It’s good to see that Airbus are actually acting on whatever mistakes or hiccups that may have occured. The plane will be rolled out and the customers will get it I suppose, they just have to deal with the bad press and circumstances of delivering the 380 late in the mean time though. Either way, I look forward to working on/in/around both companies planes in the future!
you were, sorry, was just getting that it seems noone can ever say a word wrong about B. just my opinion though 😮
I’ve not been paying too much attention to it lately, but is the E195 on revenue services to GLA now I take it?
Boeing did not, the 747 then was 150% larger than any other commercial jet at the time. No data to analyze, no experience to learn from. Thats why it was such a huge gamble
But it was the size difference not because it was originally intended to be a freighter? Either way, it was a feet at the time pulling it off and making such a success of it.
Sandy, I really admire your in depth, thought out and researched answers on these forums but sometimes I wonder why Boeing aren’t sponsoring you to be here (maybe they are?). I am much more of a Boeing man myself, however I do respect the tremendous contribution Airbus has made to the Industry and I don’t see either of them putting each other out of business unless one of them fecks up badly.
What I’m getting at, is that by sitting on the fence a lot and reading more instead of posting, it has came across that you get slightly aggressive in your BvsA and really defensive. That doesn’t mean I want you stop posting, or even change your posts – just pointing out that it puts non-frequent posters like myself off from posting in case we get shot down? Sorry!
Symon
What is it you are wanting to do as a career if you don’t mind mind me asking (to all)? Just that some courses/degrees open up a big scope to a desired field and if obtained, it is sometimes possible to choose.
Excellent! I bet their TCAS must have been going nutty 😉
After around 20 minutes, I went and found a security guy to report the bags. The security guy, and get this, barely raised an eyebrow! He came over and checked and within a few minutes the guys came back; he never even told them off
Don’t know about that situation in particular, but generally at UK airports that isn’t seen as a great threat as the bags have already passed through the screening process and have presumably been given the OK already. Would be a different story if it was at check in.
Very interesting seeing the major US carriers mini jets and props, seeing as we always only see their c/s on the big jets in the UK!
It started for me when I was around 7. My Grandfather was a cheif engineer for ANZ so we was always keen to talk to me about everything aviation related. Plus the fact that I had to make a trip from EDI to AKL on numerous lovely big jets just to see my grandparents helped also.
