Deffinately not a fan of Michael McIntyre or Peter Kay – just find their stuff too tame and overrated.

Big fan of Frankie Boyle, Ricky Gervais and back in the day: Richard Prior. Demetri Martin’s original stuff was really good also.

Massive fan of (most of) his work. A genius, at some points. Not a fan of his films, but love his stand-up and tv shows. Each to their own, eh 🙂

I’m with you 100% Paul. I have chosen to fly with Ryanair before and I would again if I had to/chose to. As I have said time and time again, Ryanair get a passenger from A to B for a reasonable cost where no other carrier can. What are you supposed to do in that instance if you should be boycotting Ryanair because of their practices?! Spend perhaps at least double the cost and time getting to your destination by car/train/another airport, when you actually really need to be at your destination relatively urgently e.g. a sickly family member.

I don’t deny that Ryanair’s business practices may be dubious, but would you tar the other LCC’s with the same brush, that choose to copy them? What are easyJet, VirginBlue, JetStar, AirAsia etc all like?!

Why the US continues to ensure they retain their ‘right to bear arms’ I do not know. Perhaps it made sense back in the day when the population was low, the technology was a bit more simple and law enforcement wasn’t as developed – but do they still need it?

Of course, if someone wants to do harm they could still get their hands on a gun if they wanted do, but you can’t argue that gun crime isn’t more prolific in the US.

And considering BA’s long standing relationship with RR, it is of little surprise that they went with the Trent 900.

For the same reason Ryanair have a single aircraft fleet, it’s cheaper to maintain and train crews on just one type of aircraft than two.

Though during Ryanair’s latest RFP for new aircraft, was M O’L not quoted saying that he would not rule out going with Airbus if they presented a good enough offer, as if they had a large fleet of both they could justify the additional crew and maintenance costs?

I was only fooling around Paul! 🙂 Was just thinking along the lines of often current day thinking were one mishap creates an absolute avalanche and brings in a ridiculous rule.

Still, at least it wasn’t his bourbon and coke he spilled on the console :p

Next thing the airline will ban beverages in the office up the front – there’s always someone that ruins it for the rest

Are Boeing not going to be rolling out ‘new’ 737s that have X% increased efficiency due to improvements in airframe and engine design? This may be a time where they could do with a tag like ‘Next Generation’ to differentiate from the current production models, shame they’ve already used it!

It is definitely something I have done in the past and will probably be something I will continue to do. If you think about it, you are actually doing a fair bit of good – getting the driver in the opposite direction to slow their vehicle down in preparation for the camera. Getting drivers to slow down if they are over the limit is surely a good thing, regardless?!

I have noticed myself going above the speed limit very, very rarely since moving here. I notice here, there are a lot more police cars patrolling the roads and people generally stick to the limit anyway. There are also a lot of unmarked police cars here so you always have to be really careful.
