First shot is cool 😎
Nice work. We missed the snow up in Manchester. Makes an interesting feature of the shot.
My bet is a faulty part in the auxiliary battery pack. Probably not a fleet wide issue, just bad luck.
You seem to know a lot about the B787. Or did you perhaps just read about it in a news article ?
Hee hee that’s brilliant. 😀
…and a great shot too.
I was about to say “yawn, seen all those” then saw the Jordan Aviation 737 😀
Great catch Keith !
No it was not sunny in Manchester but thanks for asking. Great shots Matt. Shameful on the battery situation though. Always carry a fully charged spare or you will regret it one day if you miss something spectacular.
Jet 737 is No.1 for me. Great movement.
Where are you getting this weather from ? We’ve had nothing but rain and cloud up here in Manchester for two weeks ! Nice shots in decent light.
Here are some more photos – all taken from the comfort of the hotel.
The first one has been doctored so looks very strange – it was thick fog when I took this but I managed to “de-fog” it somewhat….

These exotic beasts were taken when it was still a little bit foggy but it was lifting. The Chang An B737 was parked outside my bedroom window all night !…

Now for some more shots without the fog !

Some “doubles”…

Another schemer…

The other “Lucky Air” – a bit more lucky with the sun for this one !

Some bigger aircraft now…

..and a couple of Embraers with subtle differences…

Sharm El Sheikh is teeming with Russian airlines. There are nearly as many as in Moscow (and possibly Southend :D).
Just read the bit about security telling you to stop taking pics. Was it security from the airport ? I’d be surprised if it was security from the hotel as they are used to people taking pics from that corridor. When I was there the guy who had the room before me was also taking pics and someone at reception mentioned there bring spotters here all the time. I did notice a security guard behind the perimeter fence most of time and tried to keep behind the post when stuff was not moving.
It’s blooming difficult getting photos there. You have a split second window to get a shot between the posts. Love the I-Fly. I’ve not caught that one. Great shots.
Oh dear. The aircraft is in three pieces over a main road. Cockpit separated and on other side of road. TU-204/214 first hull loss.
Hee hee. Room 4126 by any chance ? Let’s see some more? Love the IL-96 !
