You can’t get much more exotic than that ATR. Did you get any more shots on the trip ?

Not bad effort there Matt from the garden. I managed to get down to Tatton but I could only stay an hour. Got three of the footy charters and a few extra bonuses.

Excellent stuff – this and the Izair. Could be in Instanbul or at Domodedovo !

Great photos and so much variety. I do like the Frontier Tails and that us Airways retro.

    Very nice!

    🙂

Cheers Rob (and by738). Actually there isn’t that much variety of airlines. 90% is US Airways and Southwest but quite a few have special schemes which is nice. My mate who was with us on the trip was on the Arizona Cardinals A319 – he was on way to Tampa the day before we flew from Phoenix to Lauderdale. He joined us in Lauderdale the day after.

Wow what a quality selection there. I saw the Air Explore (same one) at Milan Malpensa. I’ve never heard of Samair though !

Great shots Rob. Shame about the lousy weather on the shots from T1 car park. It’s always sunny when I go up there.

My mate has to be the unluckiest spotter in the world. For a start anywhere he goes the weather is usually awful. He saw my Madrid pics and told me he was booking a flight in the summer (2010) to take photos of the Aerolineas Argentinas 747-400 and the Cubana IL-96.

He phoned me from the mound and asked me to check when the Cubana was due out – I told him it was delayed 15 mins. Then it was delayed again and again and again. An hour later he phoned me for latest update then I heard him scream “oh no” – he’d just seen it being towed away – it had gone tech !

He left the mound in disgust and got a taxi to the 33L approach for the Aerolineas. 5 mins after he got there they changed runways so they were departing way over his head !

He gave up spotting after that and now takes pictures of buildings instead 😮

Nice one ! It’s excellent news when your local airport gets a new service or service change with a new aircraft.

Great movement. Do you get pre-warned about these coming in ?
