One of them belongs to the Emirates National Auto Museum. There is a rumour they’re refurbishing the interior and it will open to the public soon.
very nice series.:)
My respect for sticking it out through the shortest and darkest days of the year in what normally already is a very wet place.

I’ve never seen the light so good at Manchester.
Great shots btw Rob. My favourite is the Norwegian Shuttle 737.
Great stuff. Excellent. Yes I’ve heard about that hotel from someone on an Aeroprints tour I was on. The owner has built a dedicated roof terrace. I’ve not seen too many pics from there and if these are the pics you can acheive from the hotel then it’s well worth staying there. What zoom did you use to capture these shots.
ps i wish Royal Brunei did send 737s in LHR (I don’t think they have them at all). Much preferable to the “boring” 777s (which I still haven’t seen) ! 🙂
Thai Air Force B737 is a most excellent catch. Nice one.
Love the shot with the birds. Most excellent.

Thanks for looking.
Hey those are stunning photos. The clarity on the Orbest is amazing (as are the others actually). I went twice in the 1990s – great airport for photos. I’ll share those at some point.
Yeah the Iberia is great. Lovely scan that is. I miss the Queens Building so much.
tommyinyork is back !!!!
Don’t Jet2 mix up the 757s ? Not sure whether you can be sure whether it will be wingleted or not.
Excellent start ! Nigerian 737 – nice. I assume there will be a lot of unusual stuff going in there for the Olympics ?
Love the Gatwick ramp shot. My first spotting trip outside my local airport was to Gatwick (1983) and when the terrace was there the view of the ramp was fantastic. What a line-up there.
Fantastic! I wish I had been born abit earlier than the mid 80’s because I would have loved seeing the older props and early jets in action for longer.
Thanks. Imagine if all these were still flying with the digital cameras we have now ? We’d get some amazing shots.
Some more…

Hope you enjoyed these.
Great shots from Frankfurt.
Here are some I took in the early 90s in the glory days of classic Soviet aircraft and airlines at Frankfurt. Hope you like them and I hope they are not too recent for this thread…

Lovely shots. Manchester is a great airport. One of the best in the world is no exaggeration. Always something interesting to see there.
