I think you were lucky with the Syrian ATR-72. It is down on flightstats as an A320 for yesterday’s flight. It’s a great catch that one 🙂

Cheers. Not my favourite shot actually as half the wheels are obscured.

Quality movements there. Syrian and Arkia ATRs and Jordanian Embraer – ooh tasty.

Larnaca is another airport on my to-do list. A week at MacKenzie Beach.

Did you get any more stuff ? How many days were you there ?

Cheers for that. I’ve looked everywhere and didn’t think of Scramble. Not going there now. We are on a cruise week after next and I have a full day at Lisbon and day and a half at Malpensa !

Nice one. I like the EasyJet. Still not seen that at Manchester. Not sure it’s even visited yet.

Cheers. I didn’t used to care much for take-off shots but they are growing on me now. In some ways they are better than landing shots as the backgrounds can be more interesting.

2 Titans parked at MAN?! How I miss the airport 🙁

Great shot of the MD11 too! 😀

A few Manchester spotters moan about Manchester saying it’s boring. It is far from boring and in fact is one of the most interesting airports on the planet. There is always something unusual coming in.

So where do you find out about these movements – are they on some forum or list somewhere?

    Try this…

I’ve known about the World MD11 for about a week, but the Lufty Cargo was an added bonus. 🙂

What a fiasco ! I turned up for the World MD-11 (I saw you at the corner of the Tatton Arms car park) then left as soon as it flew past because is started to chuck it down. I went to viewing park just to get the new Airports of the World magazine and they let me park outside the barrier for five mins. As I was paying for the magazine the Lufty Cargo MD-11F passed the viewing park 😡 and I didn’t have my camera with me 😡

I got it later taking off from the south side but missed City’s thrashing of Spurs !

The World and Lufthansa MD-11s taxied out and took off one after the other – pure theatre !

Spot on and lucky MAN & LHR spotters

The airliner will arrive at Manchester Airport direct from Seattle on the morning of 3rd September, where it will be shown to customers Monarch Airlines and ThomsonFly.

Then, on 4th September it will be flown to London Heathrow airport. Supposedly this is in order to demonstrate the aircraft to British Airways.

It is very likely going to be in ANA livery

No it won’t. It was a false rumour.
