I quite like the Malaysian colour scheme. Nothing wrong with it IMHO.

The worst colour scheme is the Gabon Airlines on the A340.
That could be an absolute stunner but they have just painted small “Gabon Airlines” titles on it. Awful shame.

There’s one called Casper which shows real time progress for various airports and you can select past dates and replay at up to 100x. Very cool indeed.

Thanks ! I know they aren’t very “topical” photos but I am on a trip to South Korea and Japan on Saturday so have been sorting out some photos from this year. When I am back I will post some photos.

Great shots. I wouldn’t be worried about the fuzzy grass as long as the aircraft is in focus.

Peoples Express !!! Wow forgot all about that one. One of my first spotting days was at Gatwick in 1983 and saw the Peoples Express 747, Philippines 747 and Continental DC-10s in the old colours. Great days !

I also remember being at Heathrow in early 80s and Paris CDG was fogged. There were 2 Iraqi B747s and 4 Air France 747s on the ground at Heathrow.

Drat. I forgot to record it ! It’s on Saturday at 12.30pm so I’ll have to wait until then. My mate said Gibraltar was on it and the runway cuts across the road and has a level crossing on it ! Not a good idea to risk jumping those.

This aircraft will be doing BA Shuttle flights to MAN, EDI, GLA and NCL on the 30th October!

Great ! I’m on the shuttle flight MAN-LHR on 30th October for the Aeroprints Korea and Japan tour so I might be lucky and be on the B757.

Wow. I remember the 707s at Heathrow in the 80s. Green and yellow. Forgot all about them. Actually I think they were B720s.

The extremely poor focussing of my Nikon D5000 today at Manchester Airport. Rubbish.

Don’t you think it’s possibly a little insulting for you to say to me as an experienced photographer that histograms are for “anoraks”? Have you even considered that? Good photography (just like good music) comes about as a result of artistic ability AND sound technical understanding. Ignorance towards one or the other is one of the most idiotic attitudes a photographer (or musician) can have.

You say you welcome criticism on all aspects of photography EXCEPT the histogram. Sorry pal, it doesn’t work like that. The histogram shows you how accurate your exposure is, and maybe you haven’ve realised this yet but exposure is quite a big part of photography. It’s also one of the easiest things in digital photography to get right because it’s one of the few things we can measure, and if you can’t get that right you don’t stand a chance in hell of getting your head around other things.

Anyway, I was going to try help you but frankly people with attitudes like yours aren’t worth the effort. At some point you have to stop questioning others and look to yourself for improvement.

Ok point taken and I apologise for being too sensitive here.
