    Maybe unrelated but Thomson 787 G-TUIC is returning to MAN after being advised to hold over the Irish sea past 2 hours

    Are you sure Scotty ? Just checked Flightdata24 and it’s not flying but flew to Sanford from Manchester today.

    I went to DUS AS well, but most my photos failed dus to bad settings (I’d done indoor shooting of dance event). By the time I found out and corrected the settings the shots got killed by heathaze. C’est la vie.

    did you also go to Muenchengladbach? i saw two Dutch spotters there as well.

    Been there. Night shots taken at ISO 1600 and forgot to set back to 200 for morning shots.

    Great shots rab. I like the Transat A310 angle and background. I would argue why anyone would want a lens that goes to 500mm as you are never going to get the quality if the aircraft as so far away but I’ve see quite a few people using that lens and they love it. I don’t even use the 200 to 300mm range of my 28-300mm Nikkor lens preferring to use far superior 80-200mm lens at 200mm and just crop it – quality is better. The shorter the range, the higher the quality.

    Nice one Matt. Sick about the Kazak and I’m always too lazy to drive up the airblue A340 even though I know it’s coming in early and it’s sunny.
