OK, after six months of work here is an update:
Thanks to the help of almost 80 spotters and photographers throughout the world, we have managed to gather 2358 images of 503 Alitalia planes out of 527 and of 188 Alitalia Group planes (that is satellite companies like SAM, ATI, Aermediterranea, Eurofly, Avianova, etc.) out of 295.
Right now we are facing the hardest part of our project: the search of the most difficult images. For instance, this is the list of Alitalia planes that we are still missing:
