From an incomplete formation of completely red aircraft to a complete formation of aircraft that are not completely red.
You posted 1-11 (British).
I can also post one Eleven (British).
A little maths:
404 (as in XV404 or Martin 404) plus 111 (as in F-111) equals 515 (RB515).
Another An-2/DH combination. September 2006, Cracow, Poland.
CSS-13, the Polish-built licence version of Polikarpov U-2/Po-2 biplane trainer and utility aeroplane (like the one restored at Old Warden). Originally designed to replace the Avro 504 (aka U-1) in Soviet service, the Po-2 served on until well after WW2 as primary trainer, med-evac, night bomber, glider tug, crop-sprayer, VIP transport etc.
One more try.
Other kind of biplanes on green fields in my regions.
Speaking of which, was any Caterpillar equipment used in Berlin Airlift?
So are you going to lay 10K out on this at the last second?:dev2:
That’s a good point! Mark has started this thread to discourage any potential competitive bidders.
Berlin?
You take my breath away…

Thanks a lot Mark!
No need to step backwards, David! The style of “JAGUAR” logo on that Jag is obviously connected to road traffic.
Here’s another photo that combines air and road traffic.
The seller doesn’t say that it came off a Supermarine Spitfire – or even an aeroplane – so maybe it was found in the boot of the very first Triumph Spitfire produced!
Forgive if I’m wrong, but to my foreign mind the phrase “off of the very first spitfire ever made” sounds more like “far from the very first spitfire ever made”. Also, he doesn’t say it was ever auctioned by Christie’s, he says “was purchased from christies auction rooms in 1991” (perhaps when they changed the decor of their rest rooms?) and he doesn’t say what exactly was “verified by them”.
So could your Hurricane man be Paterek then??
Well, that depends on that Tangmere1940’s oxygen mask question. Paterek was killed on 27 March 1941.
And probably sadly 99% of people won’t even know they are there.
Who cares about them? What’s important is that us 1% can(‘t) nitpick!
