Re-looked at your video of “The Big Lump” and around the “Knuckle” seems to be some sort of fibreglass shroud thats ripped,etc. (Unless I’m mistaken here ).
So whatever it is some time tapping at the concretion holding stones in place,using an Ice pick type hammer should shift C*** without any damage and still worth digging it out. Intriguing M8. Best of luck with it. I didn’t realize there is a bomb hoist in there, think I’ve got my U/C specs on—-lol !!!

I will return to it tomorrow morning. If you’re curious I made an imgur album with all the photos I took of these parts:
Hi again Brattacus,
That big lump 1/2 buried under sand at the beach in your you tube Video (post 226 ) looks to me like an Undercarriage leg . the bit we can see possibly being a knuckle joint and its almost certainly joined to the other part further away, as Anon says poss. geodetic structure. That is definately worth a digging up and retrieve session with some like minded pals. In fact a windy barbeque and couple of beers would help too. Be interesting to see it clear of the debris and it’ll surely be id’d by slueths in here.Bill T.
I dunno if id risk damaging it if I tried to remove the rocks stuck onto it(?) did you notice the bomb hoist in the middle of the parts?
First (and only) thought; Wellington geodetic structure.
Anon.
other people say the same, bomb hoist present…
this an aircraft tyre? dunlop 16×4 51080, quite skinny…
thx for info WV903, ill get more pics of it sometime soon, I just constantly keep finding stuff, ive a video of unmovable big metal thing washed up, pics later on, anyone have a clue what this metal is, aircraft or?
FLUV = Flieger Unterkunft Verwaltung (Fliers Quarters Administration)
W.J.S. = makers mark
39 = year of manufacture (1939)
thanks WV903 I found many other large pieces also but they were in the quarry and I didnt touch them as I dont know yet where the contaminated areas are so its not worth touching, I did photograph all the things I did find though which I will upload sometime, I found this also beside that sea hawk part, full of stamps and serials: I put my blue and white painted piece I found next to it as a comparison as the way its made and the metal feels the same as each other also, perhaps same aircraft, found the blue/white one washed up couple years ago
edit: is this a better pic of what youre referring to?

“54456 . L217 . 7
*scratched out serial*
F1?8487-5
65. 129. “
Friend found this recently at the quarry, looks very similar to the blue and white crumpled aircraft part I have, rivets look the same and on the inside of this piece has a circle stamp with N in it same as the other, lettering says “GUN INSTALLATION” I believe
