Yes it is an aircraft oil cooler judging by the patent.
found a serial on it after WD40 spraying it, “B 268” anyone recognise that one? faint circular mark/stamp too but cant make out the letters on it
Would anyone happen to have any photos of these?
Yeti
I do but the problem is I dunno where as I took 1000s of pics on my old phone and transferred them to a backup cd mixed with heaps of the pics but god knows where it is, next time im up that way ill photograph them again which the pics will be clearer as my new camera phone is 16mp
Afternoon all Yeti here, hoping for some help from the resident guru’s. I am collecting parts for a possible Oxford cockpit project and am seeking info on the control pedestal. What i am after is copies of drawings, measurements or clear photos (front and side views) to enable me to make a replica. Would also be interested in photos/ measurements of the cover plate for the undercarriage and flap levers.
Any info would be much appreciated or even leads to genuine items:D
Many thanks in advance Yeti
correct me if im wrong but I think those very parts complete with paint and stamps etc are displayed on the wall at boyndie “museum” near RAF Banff
Remains of Anakin Skywalkers podracer
great creative photograhy
looking for any aircraft parts unwanted any condition if anyone is doing a clearout etc to aid me in filling my little museum…
I am looking to make contact with members of the now defunct Kinloss Aviation Society. Does anyone have any leads on ex-members I could contact?
Thanks in advance
I suggest contacting the Kinloss museum Morayvia? they might be able to help
Loving the radioactive symbol on that wheel
anyone recognise what this may be? and what aircraft? got it for a few £, was told its aircraft.
thanks for clarifying the halifax info .-) shame you didnt make a copy of that index you had, seems easy enough tho seeing as most? halifax parts start with that 57
also, anyone a clue what this is?
The forums own Cees Broere – or Mr Halifax 🙂
Rob
whats his username here? id like to PM him regarding the possible halifax part I found
found another stamped piece today with “271301247BG1” no clue what its from, the beach clean team had “attacked” the beach so I had to scavenge all their sacks left behind as they had binned lots of aircraft pieces! mostly wellington bomber bits which ive all recovered out their bins
57 is a Halifax part number isn’t it? 57 xxx C1 would make it a fuselage part…
Where’s Cees when you need him?!
I was actually thinking that but isint the halifax part numbers much longer? my obtained off internet halifax parts have a much longer serial and no C1 so it may be something else?
who is Cees?
todays finds on that beach, is the circular piece aircraft related? I remember someone a long time ago on a similar way the piece is wired like that is anti-tampering(?) no stamps found on it yet (possibly), small bit with lots of black paint remaining, and a nice riveted piece with a serial on it “57177 C1”
that the nimrod part that crashed in the moray firth?
