    Very unusual window/hatch partially overlapping the blister structure. I would say non-standard to Cats, maybe post WW2 mod. Should be possible to narrow this down to an individual aircraft if you have more background on where it came from? Country of origin would help too.

    hi he found this at a railway embankment in Northern England

    Brataccus,
    Generally, but not all, Sea Hawk part numbers are of the form of a letter,(A,B,C etc) and 6 digits possibly followed by a “slash number” (/1, /2, /3 etc). See attached.

    nice info thanks, the piece I think is sea hawk I was cleaning it more today, initially found one circular stamp which said “DHLE” and “10” under it, today I revealed another circular stamp in better condition and it reads “BHAI” with a 15 under it, wonder what its from…

    My name is Bob and I’m part of the restoration team at Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre, based at St Mawgan airfield in Newquay, Cornwall. Our present challenge is the restoration of Hawker Sea Hawk WV798. We are looking for a number of parts including a front tyre, parts for the nose wheel undercarriage, canopy and a wing folding ram. I am sure as we progress there will be many other parts required. We are also looking for photos or info on its appearance prior to its stay at Hurn as part of the black fleet. Any info gratefully received.

    I have a few big parts of what I suspect is seahawk but Im not 100% sure, on your seahawk is there any visible stamps or serials or part numbers etc on the panels? if so is it possible you could share some here? to put my mind at rest and to confirm the parts I have are actually sea hawk? would be massivly appreciated

    Also found this today, 1 of them, the other I found months ago washed up in the exact same spot, again same place where I find the wellington parts, creepy, both parts are the same part, exact same size and shape etc, anyone know what these are? one has turned turquoise blue type colour where as the better conditioned one is only a little bit turquoise, why has it turned this colour?

    found this on the beach today exact same place where I find wellington parts, thought it was just a dull bit of metal before noticing the stamp serial on it, theres a circular stamp too but half of it is missing has “SFB 709” on it, probably had more but too damaged to see the rest, similar stamp to the pegasus engine part I found which also has SFB on it.

    I have a halifax panel with a surprising amount of part numbers on it, ill dig it out and post all the part numbers so you can compare .-)

    not found it yet but on a part numbers website for serials etc for halifax they have: looks like your serials are from a Mark I

    HP57 = Halifax Mk I
    HP59 = Halifax Mk II
    HP61 = Halifax Mk III
    HP63 = Halifax Mk IV
    HP63 = Halifax Mk V
    HP70 = Halifax Mk VIII
    HP71 = Halifax Mk IX

    more to come….

    the pics. that have a piece of ally channeling with what looks like a rusty steel “Crank” attached,( with lightening holes in) look to me very much like some sort of/part of a Flap hinge or dive brake and associated structure. I would say the “Crank ” was fastened to flap/dive brake and the threaded rod screwed into the main pivot fixed in to a/c structure. My hunch is its WW2 period.

    I got that part identified as someone posted a picture of the same piece and I emailed the company and they said it is for a Nimrod so the crank piece I have is probably from XW666 that crashed into the sea here

    looks exactly like a Canberra Yellow fibreglass PSP Ejection seat Pack I owned once, Mine fitted the Martin Baker Mk 2CLA Ejection seat which was sold on. Think I still have some pics. of it , so will search em out. 1989 was still a good year for Canberra’s operations so whether yours was from an ejection or dumped at sea, I’m sure the slueths in here will come up with more info. Could you post some pics. of your 2nd PSP found and any info with it, thanks !!! You must have a very full shed by now –:D;)

    Bill T.

    I dunno if any canberras were up here, id say its more Tornado or Jaguar or some jet, I went back today to the beach and I photographed the second ejection seat I found for you, much worse state than the first I found: I dont have any info on it but on the side of it theres 1 serial number on it I photod: first seat thing has everything pretty much intact, sadly the dataplates etc have come off

    Advised the finder to carefully look for any numbers or inspection stamps, long shot, but you never know!

    yes, multiple times ive looked at the parts ive found, no stamps or nothing, spraying the parts with WD40 MASSIVLY helps spot stamps etc, and looking back at the same parts I notice stamps on parts I thought had none beforehand, very very easy to dismiss the fact theres nothing when there very well could be, magnifying glass and a good source of light directed onto it often helps too

    you got the facebook groups page? wonder if theres any part numbers etc on them, one piece looks to have black nightfighter paint on it
