Thanks for the reply. I have been looking into learning more about the functions of the camera and how they work.

I did use the centre AF point to focus, but I found that the nose of tail were slightly out of focus and the centre of the aircraft was sharp. (was on max zoom though)

What kind of shutter speed would you go with on a sunny and cloudy day? Most of my last batch took at 1/500 – the sun was in and out all day.

What are your thoughts on using ISO 200 to get sharper images? Will this reduce the quality too much?

Thanks in advance for answering my questions…. it’s a big help to me in my quest for top quality pics!!

Well done mate!

I did the same… did a HND at college, and got my 1st job at LHR for British Midland @ T1 in ’93. Drove there in a beat up Peugot 205 wearing that horrid red and grey diamond uniform! I do miss the DC9-15!! 😎

Still in the airline industry and love it. Its not a job for me, more of an extension of my hobby!!

That’s exactly right! The 1st aircraft, in the second colour sceme!

As far as I know, no B777’s have AVOD fitted and only one B747. Thats the one fitted with new Club World seats. I believe its flying from T1 on LAX and HKG routes.

Great pics!

You mentioned a stop over at the Travellodge… wher exactlty did you take the pics from, as I never did find a decent spot for departures when using that runway!

I was hoping they would pull out of it and make a success of things. I wonder whether another airline will fill the gap at Manston? What airports do PlaneStation own? I suppose they will be sold off.

Great photos… having not been to MAN before for taking pics – are they taken from the Aviation Viewing Park?? And, is that close to the Airport Hotel with the pub garden that Grey Area frequents!! lol

Hi A330Crazy…

I use a Canon EOS 300D, SIGMA 28-300 lens and Photoshop 7.1 lol

Love the blue sky… there will be lots more props on my website soon. I will post a message here when the update is complete – so long as that doesn’t break and forum rules!!!

I did.. and looks like they are all the scheduled flights, instead of the charters. Oh well… perhaps I’ll just be lucky. LOL

Looks like it lists mostly unusual visitors and ad hoc charters. What are my chances of seeing the TCX 753 in an afternoon at MAN?

Cool!!

Looks like I will come up some time soon… and hopefully get a few aircraft I want for the website… is there a good on line scource to find out what aircraft operates which flights… eg – which TCX flight will be the B757-300?? Hope youdont mind me asking so many questions!! lol
