I hope that Labour do not get to form a government as Brexit would have been the ultimate poisoned chalice. Never going to end well…

Labour can’t form a government because Sinn Fein don’t sit in Westminster and the SNP can’t vote on English matters. What kind of government would that be?

They need to agree to a second election. No sensible government can be formed from this result. It’s either Cons+DUP or Lab+Lib+Greens+Plaid Cmyru+SNP+Sinn Fein+DUP. Both involve getting mixed up with NI politics, Sinn Fein don’t even use their seats in Westminster. Run the damn thing again and drop the pensioner attacking policies.

I’m deeply suspicious of this election. What right-minded campaign launches a triple attack on pensioners? An attempt to thwart Brexit?

Farage is not interested in winning seats, you misunderstand him. He’s more interested in ensuring a clean break from the EU by entering the debate.

Ah, but that is the whole point, the tories and their apologists on here have spent time decrying JC with their accusations of terrorism links, but as soon as they are in trouble they are happy to fall into bed with people with similarly ‘sinister’ links. They just happen to be linked to pro-union protestant terrorists. Just for clarity, the DUP say they no longer support violence, in itself that suggests they used to.
    Hypocrisy?

I kind of agree actually and I think it potentially disturbs a still fragile peace settlement in NI. I’m not sure of the rules, but if at all possible they should call a second election, drop the pensioner money grabs, attend the debates and explain why Labour’s tax policies don’t work as intended and point to the historical evidence. We shouldn’t try going forward with the current seating, it’s too problematic.

Interestingly, it was her two advisers who told her not to attend the debates as well.

And Corbyn offered to form a coalition with both them and Sinn Fein.

Well we could just run the election again without the OAP attacking policies. People would grown but it might actually be the most sensible thing to do right now. There were clearly some bad grabs for money from the old.

Theresa May did though wrt your post (42.4% vs 36.9%). And it must be said that even a thoroughly zombified UKIP pulled 2/3rds of the votes the SNP did and more than the Greens.

As a % the SNP got the same % of Scottish votes as the DUP got of NI votes.

The downside is that we’ll have to give a little funding in exchange for co-operation.

Election latest: Tory MP calls for Theresa May’s special advisers to be sacked

I agree, worst advisers ever. Almost like they could be disgruntled remain backers who deliberately tried to sabotage the election. Who could have thought taking old people’s houses would be unpopular?

Sour grapes I think CD, the “mighty” UKIP is no more, St. Theresa is crestfallen and can’t have too much of a future

And yet still got more of the UK vote that the SNP got of the Scottish vote. One has to argue that the SNP have extremely favourable constituency boundaries up there. 60% of the seats with 36% of the vote.

DUP wants 12.5% Corporation Tax like ROI, hard Brexit may not be off the table yet, if the EU doesn’t stop asking for silly fees.

Stunned, Though I knew she was on a hiding to nothing when Labour produced a manifesto offering the world to voters… without the blindest idea on how they were going to fund it, it’s rather like giving sweeties to children, you then had the Conservatives introduce a manifesto telling everyone vote for us and we will have your house off you…. then u turning and putting a cap of £100k on it…. talk about slitting your own throat.

They didn’t put any cap it in terms of an actual figure. If they’d said £100k, they might still have a majority. As it was they left it so that it could be £1m or £2m.

Read Mr Kings book before making stupid statements about Mr Brown.

Don’t need to, all I need to remember is his statement ‘now is the time to borrow’ in 2006 as he took us over 40% debt.

Quite a few former UKIP voters transfered to labour, so of the 4m dimwits who voted for them in 2015, many saw the light

Of the apparent 600,00 who voted for them this time ( I haven’t checked your figure) they were not wasted votes at all.

    Zero seats = wasted votes.
