So what things are unlocked with AESA? Sounds interesting. Some kind of SARH+ARH capability? Use the more ECM resistant aircraft radar for guidance?
I would be surprised if it couldn’t. And if it were the case, it would be rectified damn quickly.

Meteor can be operated using third party data, enabling the Meteor user – the pilot – to have the most flexible weapon system.
I can’t see the problem here. The F-35 can communicate with a Meteor (at least after integration) and it can communicate with a Typhoon. F-35 passes Typhoon target position, Typhoon passes position to Meteor, fires, F-35 guides it.
Seems that Rafale thread disappeared…
Active cancellation.
Fail at honesty and fail at maths. Hey, hey, hey.
Doomed to failure from the get-go. Flawed ACLOS guidance system.

So why are Australia buying 70 AGM-88Bs instead of more Es?

Naval- but missile related. Claims VLS Shtil on Grigorovich uses active-headed 9M317MA. This just confirms my suspicion the missile is basically the same as Buk-M3s.
What’s the range of those M3s/Shtils? 70km?
Nice wheels on that *pimp my S400*
Spinners.:D They see me rolling…..
Why is Saudi AF something Iraq wants to give problems to? Is Saudi Arabia some kind of threat to Iraq?
For funding all the insurgents in its Northerly regions. Sunni vs Shia etc.
Pose problems for the Saudi AF.
Thought so. Business Insider is often a little Sputnikish.

Israel’s F-35s may have already flown a combat mission against Russian air defenses in Syria

(Israel’s first F-35A Lightning II fighter jet is revealed during a ceremony.Lockheed Martin)
Israel received three F-35s from the US on Tuesday, bringing its total inventory of the revolutionary fighter up to five, but according to a French journalist citing French intelligence reports, Israeli F-35s have already carried out combat missions in Syria.
What people don’t realise is that bugs exist even after entry to service, even in combat. For instance in Combat Aircraft they mentioned that a given Rafale update was still being debugged during operations in Mali(?). They find new bugs with T45s even now.
So it looks like it can detect radars but then it compromises its stealth, so probably not really functional against short range pop-up threats. Seems like they use them in a sort of periscope kind of manner. Take a quick look every now and again.
