My opinion: rubbish.
Will actually have to read a taf in order to go flying now damn it!

I would make a comment about human rights but I can’t be bothered to read another article about terrorism so I can’t possibly comment with any authority in this case.
Sorry to disappoint, but your posts do seem to centre around one topic somewhat.

It’s a lovely romantic story isn’t? 🙂

I would do but it was half a decade ago that I did it so can’t really remember! I was fortunate in that I had a good teacher and my class was not too unruly. My only advice with any literature type stuff would be to just try and think of the books/poems in terms of what the writer is trying to say to the person reading it. that way you focus on the meaning. It’s when you start just describing the story or the poem that you don’t do very well.
For example – “Carol Ann Duffy talks about an onion in this poem. This could be seen to represent the complex layered nature of people’s personalities.”
The above is far better than – “Carol Ann Duffy starts the poem by talking about an onion, then she moves on to talk about (something else), and in the poem she talks about her feelings…” etc etc
Why does she use an onion? How does she express her feelings? Who is the poet addressing (a lover perhaps? How can you tell?) All these questions are the type of things you need to try and think about when you read the poem.
I hope that makes some sense.
Sorry I can’t be more help, the poems are all a vague memory to me now unfortunately!
Good Luck.

Yeah. Along with Simon Armitage and few other.
Oh yeah, I remember that wonderful anthology – I hated it too, along with Of Mice and Men which I also had to read.
Funnily enough I ended up doing a degree in English Literature – talk about glutton for punishment!
