Its worth remembering that only 957 MK14’s were built, so it will be interesting when the reported number exceeds that amount!
Anyone know what the current status of Hurricane Z5252 retrieved from the lake in Russia?
Notice the background landscape? nothing right up to the horizon but grass, no wonder its been left alone it looks like its in the middle of nowhere.
There are some here http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hurricane-Mk-II-scale-aircraft-plans-RAF-warbird-WW2-/221070479092?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3378d3cef4

Those look like sketches to me for making a model rather than proper drawings.
I can only see one overall dimension on the sample picture.
This is old technology really, its been around a long time, I’ve been doing this stuff since 1989, we are all probably no further than 20 miles from somebody with this capability.
Reading these comments about the price, I thought I had momentarily morphed into some twilight zone, but really $125,000 for an airworthy vintage jet sounds like a bargain to me.
Anyone know how many ‘C’s exist airworthy or otherwise?
Actually Cees I mentioned in the Duxford thread that last Sunday I noticed that the wings for the Mark 22 were out in the restoration hanger, so it appears that something is happening to it after all.
Trouble is its alright being an armchair preservationist, but if they had said if you want it come and get and I want it off the premises in a weeks time. How many people would actually have moved to save it?
Anyone notice the late mark spit 22 wings out in the workshop? That’s hopeful it looks like the 22 might start to get some attention.
I thought that may be the chain of events regarding the sky raider . I saw the fire crews squirting the ground near it, but I had Sally B in the way.
Regarding spitfire take off for balbo, I only caught the back end of it. But what you said makes perfect sense.
Display of the day…. French fury 🙂
No the fuel spill was the French sea Fury, I was right behind it, a lot of fuel suddenly gushed out of the starboard wheel well, while a mechanic was up on the fuselage, we thought it was water at first due to the lack of panic initially, then the fire crew came over and sprayed over the fuel. Some sort of release valve perhaps?
Is the answer Winston Churchill?
It wasn’t unknown for Churchill to manoeuvre himself away from a previous viewpoint if it put him in a better light.
Can anyone help with leads as to where I can purchase some please?
Thanks
Elliott
I’ve got an accurate frame 11 profile in CAD if that’s any good?
Drawn up using the Supermarine Layout chart.

Errr….no!
That was not Z2507 but Z5252
It might be as the Russians realized a bit later that the identity is not certain.
Wreckage of a Hurricane recovered some while ago from Russia has been recently examined and the number Z2507 emerged painted on the inside of the spinner.
It was a former 601 Sqn machine that went to Russia 8 Sept 1941, but is anything else known?
I take it its not this
