I think any aircraft remaining under water now are probably beyond saving, The RAF museums Halifax when that was raised with its bright and shiny metal with paint still on was probably the last chance to restore one without replacing everything, but that’s been blown now.

I’ve always wondered If Bruce Lawless’ Tempest 5 is still off the coast of Dover or is it Folkestone? This was the first instance of a Tempest being ditched successfully.

The big problem with the Police is that if you have ever met any of them they’re invariably not too bright, Their main mission is to secure a conviction they have nothing at all to do with justice.
If you ever get accused by the Police and end up in court for anything and now that we have majority verdict juries who a lot of our society believe in ‘ no smoke without fire’ your done for.

A Typhoon did belly land at Dedham Vale [ East Bergholt ] I have a picture of it somewhere but the location does look similar. I know its a long shot though.

I don’t know about Duxford but I went to East Kirkby and there were 5000 people there, having said that the site didn’t feel uncomfortably packed and when the 3 Lanc event started there was still plenty of space around. One thing I must comment on was the guys with the large scale models flying, they were superb, their accurate style of flying kept fooling you into thinking they were real.

I sincerely hope it worked out financially for the Canadian team, If it didn’t they should let us all know.

I was there last year, I went to look at the narrow gauge railway which you can see next to the airfield and noticed all the planes there, Its quite a pleasant spot. The railway is the former Lincolnshire coast light railway which got kicked off the land they were running on further up the coast a while ago.

I’m taking the day off to see it come in on Friday, anyone got any clues as to where would be the best position to ‘loiter’ at Coningsby.

If you have no luck, I would like to offer to buy your ticket as I am local and haven’t been able to secure a ticket for either event.

If they were allowed to use Skyraider hydraulics and Pratt & Whitney engines I wonder If any of the losses of the three Sea Furies would have occurred?

If you want it drawn in 3D CAD and CNC machined as a pattern I have both facilities.

How on earth did you interpret that my comment suggested that one should fly an unrestored aircraft? If you read all of It there is no suggestion that those involved did not know what was in the containers and what their intended purpose was. They put that to one side [ get It ] and squabbled over relatively small amounts of money. The storing of the containers In the first place with no mention of rental payment sounds like a favour to me.
