In all seriousness, the amount of radioactive content in the soil there could be significant. In a slightly related vein, I live reasonably near a factory that at one point used to paint luminescent signage on to fire extinguishers and the mill pond associated with the site is now officially a registered toxic hazard with significant pollutants held in the sludge and sediment on the bottom

i was at that show as a young 9/10 year old boy, can still picture the last moments in my head of the spit going up into the loop and hitting the deck hard in a slight nose up attitude. made quite an impression at that age, but fortunately didn’t spoil my passion for aviation.
